Hi guys.

My autogate recently only opens one side. I tried to troubleshoot and found out that the voltage was there around 6-12v when i try to open or close.
I unlocked the lock and manage to move the door manually.
Does that mean that my motor is dead and I can just replace that?
I have yet to open up the motor to check.

Swap the working side motor to the faulty side to test is it motor problem or not

Connect direct to a 12v backup battery. If cannot at turn all then ur motor is kong already. Just get another motor to replace. If it work direct from backup battery could be something wrong with wiring or board.

Tried to swap motor, its working.
Tried to swap the wire in between left and right on the control board. Still the same side working only.
I'm suspecting its the wiring to another side is broken.
If i can move the door while unlocked, does that mean the gearbox is fine?

If you think the wire is broken which I think quite unlikely, you can use a meter and do a continuity test. Of course you need some extra wire because the meter leads are not long enough.

I actually do get voltage on the bad side which makes me thought that the motor was out, but i tried to swap the motor and its working.

Just get a pair of wire connect direct from board to motor and if it work fine then just put the wire in casing or pvc pipe then problem all settle. Or flexible pvc would be easier just use wall clip to hold on to the wall.

Thanks for your advise. Done the wiring in stainless steel casing on the floor.
However the adhesive is the double sided tape from the casing, I want to add adhesive to the sides since my car is ramming over and i wash my floor twice a month.
Would silicone glue or epoxy resin is recommended? Or any other adhesive?
