Both, now in market got lots of cheaper alternative coming from china. If you hold and compare local vs china made, china made is much lighter for the same spec. I wonder why.

I think i have the answer smile.gif

I met a potential alarm supplier today (highly recommended by my colleague)...he was explaining to me about alarms and he showed me the difference between china wires and local wires...all he did was...

1) China wire : Lighted the Copper wires with a Lighter....it melted and fall off in a few seconds

2) Local wire : Lighted the copper wires with a Lighter....the copper turned red (like hot rods) but didnt melt and fall off..

I think this is the major difference...

He also mentioned...the main reason why, a lot of false alarms were caused by china wires......he then cut a piece of my existing alarm wires...and burn it...well..the result was...its china wires...no wonder i got a few times of false alarms in the middle of the night...I m not sure if he is correct...just sharing my information here with you guys on what i learnt today smile.gif

I think i m gonna get my alarm and cctv frm this guy...price reasonable..and he explains a lot of things..to the extend he took out his mini tv and connect the cctv cams to show me how clear it is and which angle and location to put my cctv cams in my house...Live Demo... smile.gif

I havent decided on my autogate yet..need some inputs smile.gif

anyone has recommedations for Sliding Motor that slides relatively fast?

I noticed many sliding motors are very slow...

thx peeps

I just got mine installed for a 14ft Sliding gate...i installed E8 from Mr. Lim, recommended by one forumer.

So far, I would say the speed is faster than those my neighbours installed.
And it is also quite silent. Apparently this is a local brand...so far soo good..service from Mr. Lim also not bad.

Initially I was thinking of DCmoto 725 sliding as well, however, I have been told that they are still updating to perfect this model (this is what I heard, i might be wrong though, please dont take my words), E8 has this model running for about 8 years or more already and its quite stable, hence I have decided to go with E8 and it is a local brand...hope it helps ...

by the way, i forgot to mention, I had my wiring for Autogate done by my Wiremen prior to E8 instalation. Hence, I think your cost might be higher as you might need to do wiring ya...

Cheers!

Anyone use sanotrec b4 ? Swing with center locking
*
i used satronec before...not sure if u are referring to this or typing error.

Was using dual swing arms...My comments, dun like it cos its very slow...and not reliable.. jammed a few times..

That is my personal experience..now using sliding E8..no complains.

btw if we are talking about the same "satronec" fyi, satronec is the company name...the arms they gave me was casa asia or something like that...

and expensive! that time i was a noob smile.gif

No bro..just swing arms...no centre thingy smile.gif

like those typical 2 Hydraulic metal bars kinda arms. I think Satronec guy you're dealing with is Eric? He is da boss.
