Mr Lim came and installed underground auto gate system yesterday. I have no place to install DC MOTO so he recommend me Magnet SW100 underground system. His workmanship is top notch. I highly recommend him to those who plan to install auto gate system.

Hi, kianwee. Can help explain what you mean by no place to install the DC Moto gate? Izit because your gate width area is too short?

If my gate width is about 141inches (11 feet+), izit enough to install DC Moto 905? Or do I have to use other type of autogate motor? How wide must the gate area be (minimum distance between the tiang) to install the DC Moto 905? Not sure whether after installing the swing-type autogate motors, can still drive in 2 cars to park... at the moment with normal gate can go in 2 cars. Can anyone help advice? Thanks in advance!

Hi, just wondering for DCMoto autogate, if there's no electric power supply/backup battery habis, can we still open the gate manually? I know that if got solenoid lock then can open manually with key...but if no solenoid lock then how to open manually? Any user here that can advice? Thanks!

Still thinking whether to get DCMoto or OAE swing gate...

Hi all,

Have been using OAE autogate swing arm for 1 year plus...so far no problem. But just that the back-up battery didn't function when there was a recent power supply interruption yesterday (seldom had power interruption at my housing area, so didn't really tested it out all these while). Does anyone know how long is the back-up battery's lifespan? I ask an installer, he said the back-up battery supposed can last for 1-2days when there's no power supply, but the lifespan is 1 year plus...so that means every 1 year plus need to change new back-up battery which cost RM150. Is it the same with any of your autogate back-up battery?

Just my 2 cents knowledge,
Back up battery need to be replace after sometimes (typically lifespan 1-2 years or lucky enough may last bit longer).
Check the battery specification ( ??V ??Ah) then can buy from electrical/electronic/big hardware outlet (which usually cheaper) & DIY replace if you are DIY kaki. Many local manufactured battery available, no need to buy branded which can be more expensive. Typical 12V7.0Ah may cost around RM50-65.
