I engaged Winson for my DCMOTO 925 autogate system after reading the comments from the forum. The system failed after a heavy rain (installation less than a year).
So I called Winson to come for inspection, he straight away told me the board is dead due to lightning strike. So, I asked if this is covered under his warranty, he said not covered, and want to charge me RM300 for the board.
I asked him to come to inspect first, he kept saying there is no need to inspect as he had many customers had this issues also (What?? the autogate can just die after a heavy rain????????????)
I highly suspect the board is stroked by lightning, as there is fuse installed in the board , which the fuse is not burned. So, it is may be just the poor components used within DCMOTO (or DIGICRAFT).
but I am not very satisfied by Winson's attitute towards his customer problem, and I will not have any more business with him .... NEVER!
after almost 3 weeks no autogate to use and forced to park car outside ( ... quite sucks, as it has been raining almost everyday), I finally got my autogate back working again.
I am sharing what happened, and hope it helps others who face the similar problems in the future.
As I didn't believe the BS that the board was striked by lightning, and asked to pay another RM300 to get a new board...so I tried to searched on the internet and hope to find solution similar to my problem. Then I found Malaysia DCMOTO website (http://www.dcmoto.my/v3/), they have a office in Bukit Jalil. I called them, the person answered the phone politely told me that, they can only deal with their dealer, not end user, so he gave me a dealer contact near my area in Puchong.
So, I unplug all the wires and took out the DCMOTO controller board (quite easy actually, as the board has all the marking e.g. Siren, receiver, etc) , brought to the dealer shop. The dealer said they need to send back to DCMOTO for inspection, so I left my contact to them.
This week, I finally received their call, said DCMOTO repaired the board by replacing one electronic component, and the dealer shop just charged me RM50 for labour.
Took back the controller board, plug back all the wires and woolah! working again!!
Though it takes some times (3 week probably due to the many holidays at year end), but RM300 though not much, is still a hard earned money for us...especially in these days, everything barang naik. It is just a very unethical way of doing business by Winson just ask his customer to pay again for something that is still under warranty and can be repaired actually.
