The controller card faulty most likely

Most auto gate is designed to stop when something is blocking like it won't even dent your car if your car happened to be in path. So, make sure that the railing guide is clear from even small stone or anything that prevent smooth movement

Motor should last long especially DC motor. Mine almost 10 year without any problem. Only the control card because of lightning I guess. Unless the design has no overhead, like motor power just marginal power to operate. Thus, this make it work on limit most of the time. Yes, they save a lot of money on customers' expenses

Many have own factories. For example Legate has 10 years warranty on motor and gearbox. The gate itself is powder coated galvanized steel. Will not rust. Price depends on how wide the gate is.

If you got conned don't blame other people. I used the gate for more than 10 years already and the motor still original. The paint is till original. Though it is not new shine, the color does not look too faded. No trace of rusting.

You can claim powder coat. Galvanized, etc... but it still depends on which process you you. I hate people who think other people talk bullshit just because he did not believe the story.

The control board failed twice due t lightning. I'd say the design was not good and cause it to be easily damaged by lightning. Now, I'm using control board from 3rd party.

The warranty 10 years applies when you subscribed to yearly maintenance fee. I could not recall how much but it ranges from RM100 to RM300+ depending on whether including spare parts. I did not subscribed to the service at all. The rolling bar at the bottom is solid stainless steel, not hollow.

I select the widest one which I think 16' which costed me RM10k (if I remembered it right). So, if can last 10 years I thought it would be like I just pay for cheap 1k gate and replace every year.

Anyway, since it it still problem free for 12 years, my gamble was worth it.

Yes. I think it is lithium type. Green grease normally waterproof and pro grade.

Rust is pretty bad. Welding on rust is useless. Drill hole through and screw you need to brace with longer metal to strengthened it.

Maybe need to cut and replace that rusty piece for make it last a bit longer. If you can weld, the welding machine is not expensive but asking for people to weld maybe they do not want to do it looking at the condition or maybe not much money for them

While the roller it self should not be that expensive I believe but I remember one technician said probably around RM100. Opps... looking back at the picture,this is different type. The one I mentioned was roller that comes with bracket assembly. So, must be cheaper.

This is not the problem with the roller but the bracket that hold the roller bent slightly. Probably just need to bend it back to original position. The bracket that hold the roller does not looks like stainless steel tome.

If I were you, I'd just replace hack all the tiles the side of the wiring, bury the trunking deeper and put new tiles on it. You probably cannot find same tiles no more but make it all totally new color would probably just make it look more artistic

If budget not allowed, then just one line of tiles to make it look like border.

There are boards that just sense the current surge on the motor as detection that the gate has hits its limit to shut down the motor instead of using timing to as when to stop the motor when opening and closing.

Are you sure they do not provide after sales service? As far as I know they do when I asked them.

That's why I did not sign since since day 1 and multiple letters sent. Mine have never had any problem except the control card faulty due to lightning (original one). The design is not good as I was told by my reseller/installer who used to work in factory making TNB meter.

I get board replacement with my installer which was then no longer authorized Legate reseller. The board is different one which senses current load to cut power once reached max door open or close. The original one based on time set.

Never had any mechanical problem for about 20 years now.
