type of paint also depends on the material u use for the gate.

my new gate will be mild steel, recently I did some research about
type of paint to use..

for mild steel, the raw material, they will not clean thoroughly for u.
the ms will already have some rust, mebe some oil etc....
unless u specify, wana sand blast etc will cost a bomb.

so i wana use the most high performance heavy duty paint i can get,
as undercoat and also top coat, just one paint enough.

i choose nippon, so i got the nippon 8048 paint, this is a 2 part epoxy mastic paint,
ppl use for undercoat car etc,....

if u look at the catalog, it says nippon 8048 is a surface tolerant ( means no nid clean clean no rust etc surface )
high performance advance tech, multi purpose mastic with high solids... bla bla....

5 liter cost RM 200 .....

last time i just buy the cap katak red oxide paint from hardware shop , then use another top coat,
that is the cheapest...

i saw many KCI paints at the dealer, not sure if KCI paints are cheaper.....

I'm stil waitin, cos no stock, hopefully can get it done soon, gettin d sliding model,
I'm not sure if other brand have this hybrid function,where the circuit will cut off the power supply from ac source to transformer when the unit is on stand by. n also can program to auto close gate if left open for few minutes... n the wireless control pad.... not sure can tahan how long...

the official warranty from DCmoto i think is 1 year oni, anything extra is from the installer .....

Is autogate with motor running on dc louder than ac motor?

is this type running on full AC? or got battery back-up??

which unigate design n material r u getting?? full SS? premium?? alu?

the average gate with the same length the price can vary alot with design, material, coating, n workmanship bro....

then u make sure they provide the 'advantages' as stated in the website....

for folding gate,for eg DCMoto, 2 motors are required, sliding oni one, but the price is the same... the motors construction is almost same right? the gearing system?

under what circumstances will have 'over current' ?

i'm not sure about other motors/brand ( not arm type )

i'm using dcmoto for slide, the motor movement's noise is like wht u said not smooth..
in canto ' chok-ha chok-ha' liddat when it is slowing down...
but u don't see ur gate movement ' chok-ha chok-ha' , it is the internal gears i think...
or they kenot program it to go fast n slow smoothly like a stepper motor??....

during start n constant speed yes very smooth, when the time wana slow down, it will 'chok'
like the motor supply was turn on off on off to slow down the motor.... i try to take video...

The. Panel photo is on previous page, when jasri quote jimmy ask bout batt life... its the same as the pic on dcmoto website..

the remote changes the frequency every time, so, ppl using the device to
grab but can't use it to open the gate.

there is some lag after u press the button,
unlike the normal single signal ones where the motor will immediately response.

alot of info been posted earlier esp by jimmy....

it is optional item..
yes anyone/thing tht blocks the ir, the gate will stop,...
so its a good n bad thing....

but
for DC MOTO.. there is this function, where u press two button
to OVERRIDE the ir sensor.. forcing the gate to close,.
u can use this when u return home etc,

also the ir sensor can be used as a trigger for alarm...
