QUOTE(Vestor @ Jan 25 2013, 10:50 AM) Thanks for the tip. How much is the undercoat (anti rust) paint cost? type of paint also depends on the material u use for the gate. Sorry as this is the first time i'm doing this. my new gate will be mild steel, recently I did some research about type of paint to use.. for mild steel, the raw material, they will not clean thoroughly for u. the ms will already have some rust, mebe some oil etc.... unless u specify, wana sand blast etc will cost a bomb. so i wana use the most high performance heavy duty paint i can get, as undercoat and also top coat, just one paint enough. i choose nippon, so i got the nippon 8048 paint, this is a 2 part epoxy mastic paint, ppl use for undercoat car etc,.... if u look at the catalog, it says nippon 8048 is a surface tolerant ( means no nid clean clean no rust etc surface ) high performance advance tech, multi purpose mastic with high solids... bla bla.... 5 liter cost RM 200 ..... last time i just buy the cap katak red oxide paint from hardware shop , then use another top coat, that is the cheapest... i saw many KCI paints at the dealer, not sure if KCI paints are cheaper..... QUOTE(mpca @ Apr 15 2013, 10:21 AM) Just some feedback, my old autogate (arm type, swing) started to give problems after 3 years of use, I checked around quite a bit and finally settled for MAG 303 for RM1,200 (installer is Winson 012-206 0138). I installed it 2 days ago and here are my comments- is this type running on full AC? or got battery back-up?? |

QUOTE(jimmylim85 @ Jun 21 2013, 11:05 PM) Material being used. Swing/Fold motor system have two motor for each leaf. Where else sliding type only require one larger motor (high price since it uses larger motor), and require galvanized metal gear rack. oh, so the sliding motor is bigger thanks for your reply. |

QUOTE(jimmylim85 @ Jul 9 2013, 12:50 AM) Standard requirement. From house to your front gate side control panel = 7 core armored cable 1.5mm or 2.5mm with Magnetic Circuit Breaker 10Amp. Do not use 16A or 20A or 32A as you going to damage the system when over current doesn't break the circuit. under what circumstances will have 'over current' ? |

QUOTE(ryancfs @ Jul 13 2013, 01:12 AM) But the movement to not perfectly smooth, maybe all auto swing gates are like that. First time using automate. i'm not sure about other motors/brand ( not arm type )i'm using dcmoto for slide, the motor movement's noise is like wht u said not smooth.. in canto ' chok-ha chok-ha' liddat but u don't see ur gate movement ' chok-ha chok-ha' , it is the internal gears i think... or they kenot program it to go fast n slow smoothly like a stepper motor??.... QUOTE(Ryan Soo @ Sep 9 2013, 07:49 PM) the remote changes the frequency every time, so, ppl using the device tograb but can't use it to open the gate. there is some lag after u press the button, unlike the normal single signal ones where the motor will immediately response. |
