Ask ur main gate supplier, normally they bundled with autogate system as well. So they may give u better suggestion since it's tested by them. For me, I prefer DCMoto or Casa Asia.

My gate supplier is not familiar with autogate. He even asked me to look for others. Very frank guy. Thanks for d suggestion, will do some research on casa asia. thumbup.gif

I'd like to share about this DC Moto brochure that talk about different type of swing technology.

1. Floor Concealed Rotary type - water seepage problem but the rotary motor is simple and reliable.
2. Surface Mounted push pull type - no water seepage problem but complicated and high joint stress design. (slower operation speed)
3. Surface Mounted Rotary type - no water seepage problem and smooth operation speed.

Number 3 is improved design that eliminated the water seepage problem & slow swing speed. Anyone is using DC Moto GFM-905? Mind to share your thought?

Just installed dcmotor 905 today. I try to pull the gate open and didnt manage to do it like they do it in youtube. That video was dated 3 yrs ago, i think they have fixed that problem already. Cheers sweat.gif

Folks, is DC Moto more noisier than Casa?

I'm changing my gate to Stainless Steel + Alu (13ft Folding). PLanning to go with igates (any comments?) and looking autogate system. GATEWAY AUTOGATE AUTOMATION seems to be reliable installer and supplier as well.

Your comments are highly appreciated. Cheers.

after almost 3 weeks no autogate to use and forced to park car outside ( ... quite sucks, as it has been raining almost everyday), I finally got my autogate back working again.

I am sharing what happened, and hope it helps others who face the similar problems in the future.

As I didn't believe the BS that the board was striked by lightning, and asked to pay another RM300 to get a new board...so I tried to searched on the internet and hope to find solution similar to my problem. Then I found Malaysia DCMOTO website (http://www.dcmoto.my/v3/), they have a office in Bukit Jalil. I called them, the person answered the phone politely told me that, they can only deal with their dealer, not end user,  so he gave me a dealer contact near my area in Puchong.

So, I unplug all the wires and took out the DCMOTO controller board (quite easy actually, as the board has all the marking e.g. Siren, receiver, etc) , brought to the dealer shop. The dealer said they need to send back to DCMOTO for inspection, so I left my contact to them.

This week, I finally received their call, said DCMOTO repaired the board by replacing one electronic  component, and the dealer shop just charged me RM50 for labour.

Took back the controller board, plug back all the wires and woolah! working again!!  rclxms.gif

Though it takes some times (3 week probably due to the many holidays at year end), but RM300 though not much, is still a hard earned money for us...especially in these days, everything barang naik.  It is just a very unethical way of doing business by Winson just ask his customer to pay again for something that is still under warranty and can be repaired actually.

I also got some bad experience with wilson. When he installed dcmotor for my autogate, he accidently drilled through the gate lighting wiring/cable. The autogate is ok, but when try to connect to gatelight (gate opens and light auto on) got electric shot and blackout happens. He told me to check with the wiring installer instead and told me the electrician did something wrong. (At that time the autogate is functioning without the gatelight).

After i asked the electrician to check, he found that it was wilson who drilled thru the cable/wiring when he installed the motor.

i didnt asked him to rectify it since it require a lot of rework to rectify the issue as the cable is burried in the cement pillars. Just be carefull when u engaged him.
