Just got a new 8GB ram for laptop
slot 1 = DDR3L 8GB 1600
slot 2 = DDR3 4GB 1600

But after install, can only see 8GB running
why not dual channel running?

better buy another 4GB actually

by right DDR3L when running 1.5v its a DDR3

Update

I exchange slot for the ram

Slot 1 = DDR3 4GB 1600
Slot 2 = DDR3L 8GB 1600

now can see 12GB running

Problem is HDD run high like 92-98% when machine just start
is it normal?

Nvm don't need dual channel.. as long as 8+4 got 12GB
not running bench, only use for work

Will buy new laptop soon
