i am having a dcmoto 925, the one w/o lock, can i change it to one with lock while retaining whatever that could be used?

anybody encounter where the indoor remote control for dcmoto, wireless type the weak battery warning keep lighting up even after changing to a new battery. Leave it for 1 day, and the warning light also does not appear, meaning battery already depleted.
However measuring using a multimeter showing battery still strong, 12v
