QUOTE(ycs @ May 12 2020, 06:34 PM) the embedded wire is broken; tested no continuity, but somehow got voltage installed new wire from board to motor, works perfectly; now to figure out how to bury the new wire properly what type of 2-core wire is suitable to be buried underground for autogate motor? dont want armored cable cos difficult to work with Better engage wiremen to run a new armoured cable. Or else is time to get a new system which is not underground type.

QUOTE(limteiksoon @ Aug 31 2020, 03:39 PM) How to activate the setting for the buzzer to ring (Digicraft DK-825P keypad) indoor You can activate it via remote or indoor keypad by simply pressing two button at the same time for a second which is 6 and 9 o clock. If there is no buzzer sound trying activate panic mode by pressing 3 & 6 o clock and press 6 o clock to deactivate. If there is no buzzer sound then the buzzer is faulty and it doesn’t come cheap to replace.

QUOTE(jayb2 @ Sep 4 2020, 10:31 AM) my sliding Gforce SL1000 does not correctly after MCO, because seldom use during that time, now the gate can open but cannot close , when closing the sliding just move a little then stuck not even halfway. I've tried to clean track and spray WD40 on outside pinion gear & gearrack and still does not work. And strange, it's working OK during morning, but reach afternoon it's not working, something is drying up due to sunheat? Have you tried manually push your sliding gate whether is it effortlessly or tough to push? If the gate is not the problem chances is your motor amateur head is dirty filled with carbon deposit which either need cleaning or replacement. Judging from your control panel “resistance” setting already max out, the motor is pushing at its maximum torque. The motor could be at fault.

QUOTE(KingRyan @ Sep 6 2020, 12:56 PM) Location is Petaling Jaya. Wow. Pricing in Selangor and KL is bloody expensive. Here in Ipoh Perak you can get 18ft x 5.5-6ft for somewhere RM 5-6K which is wrought iron powder coated with stainless steel pipe and middle roller too.

QUOTE(Refuzed @ Sep 6 2020, 11:30 PM) Guys, do we need to 'service' our auto gate motor every now and then? Mine already 4 years+ and I'm not sure if I need to call up someone to service it or somethin lubrication for your gate bearing and roller is a must. but for motor is mostly wear and tear only repair or replace.

QUOTE(Icehart @ Sep 14 2020, 04:21 PM) Need a piece of advice here. I have a heavy main sliding gate. Currently using Gforce 1000kg. A few months back, we have an issue with the remote trigger. Sometimes when we press the sliding door does not operate, sometimes it operates. First thing was to replace the remote battery but the same issue persists. I called for an automated gate specialist to inspect, the first suspicion was the receiver component but eventually, he went on to suggest to replace the entire autogate which cost RM 1.5k. Before he came, the autogate was functioning but after he left, lol the whole thing fails. Should I get a second opinion? This autogate is 11 years already. Was told it's about time to replace. Your Gforce 1,000kg motor is AC or DC type? Usually AC type can last quite some time even 15 years still works (granted internal gearbox doesn't worn out) If intention for replacement, I'll recommend DC type as its faster and safer to use. Got budget? You can opt for Italy made DC motor, I would recommend Roger Technology which is DC Brush-less type which is close maintainace free system.

QUOTE(yfyap69 @ Jul 19 2022, 04:57 PM) My dcmoto folding gate is having problem. 1 side cannot open or close. Initially when this happen, i gave it a push and it move. I open and close a few cycle and it was ok. Now it is totally dead. Any idea how to trouble shoot? Is your folding gate roller that is sitting on the rail working smoothly? Is there any damage to your DCMotor motor cover (white colour with green lever release). If there is damage in the cover can cause water to enter and damage internal component.

QUOTE(yfyap69 @ Jul 20 2022, 09:56 AM) The roller is working well as I just change them not long ago. The motor cover also is ok. No damage. Then the last resort is to get a technician have it check. Probably causes could be 1) wiring issue 2) motor/gearbox 3) main board (which is quite low chances) More importantly, are you able to use the release key to manually push the 1 side that fails.

QUOTE(yfyap69 @ Jul 20 2022, 11:33 AM) I suspected motor issue as there is voltage going into the motor but motor not moving. I can move the gate by release key. Then you just have to get the yellow colour motor module replace to make it work again.

QUOTE(ykh @ Aug 24 2025, 11:05 AM) Hi anyone can advise if DC 975 will be suitable for a 24.5ft x 6 ft fully aluminium trackless gate? No issue with it. GFM975 basically built upon GFM925W with new controller board with far better speed controller. But of course the newer GFM975 has around 1-2 second slower operation than GFM925W but better speed cushioning.

QUOTE(DarkNite @ Aug 5 2025, 09:02 AM) AFAIK DCMoto seems to no longer produce sliding gate motor. They only focus on swing / swing fold / trackless fold operated motor. Sliding gate you can consider DC brushed motor local or Italy and DC Brushless motor from Italy that comes in 24V and 36V.

QUOTE(wailing81 @ Nov 9 2025, 12:37 PM) hi sifu, i am using DCMOTO GFM925. Recently i found that the arm seem will stuck half way randomly. a small push will solve this issue when open/close. any how i can fix this issue? is it the arm going weak now? Is your gate swing folded track type? Have to check the roller bearing and upper bearing too. Normally for GFM925 aged around 7-8 years as the internal motor starts to wear out, it tends to draw more current and to e transformer might not able to supply enough amperage hence the need of a fresh new rechargeable seal lead acid battery to give it a boost in supply. It it stuck halfway on both arms or single?

QUOTE(dudester @ Nov 20 2025, 11:39 AM) Considering Delux autogate 16-18ft. Any negative feedback ? how is their motor? Where can i sell my used sliding gate motor, it is still very good. Replacing because renovating house. You may consider delux if you have the deep pocket budget hence the brand itself have set its name. The only negative feedback is the price tag and huge gap beneath and opening is not that tight gap. Delux higher and mainstream model still uses DCMoto GFM925W 4th Gen in a OEM form. Used sliding gate motor is as good as scrap metal dealers to be honest. Cause second hand and brand new price gap is too small.

QUOTE(nam3le5sone @ Nov 5 2025, 07:33 PM) Hi sifus, This is my first time buying and installing a front gate for my new house. Specifications: Stainless steel frame Aluminium panels Size approximately 14 feet x 5.5 feet Swing gate Comes with an inner door Dnor auto gate supplied separately; installation cost paid I have a few questions: 1. For the part highlighted in red in the photo — is that cover piece normally included, or does it require a top-up? I thought it was included based on the design I selected, but when installation day came, the seller said I had to top up RM300 (we negotiated down to RM250). Is this a common practice or not? The second photo shows my current gate waiting for that cover piece. 2. What worries me more is that after three days, the wall near the gate looks like it’s starting to crack. I noticed some other sellers recommend using three hinges instead of two. Should I ask my gate supplier to add one more hinge to each gate leaf? Please refer to the last four photos. I would really appreciate any advice. Two hinges is way sufficient for a gate length of 14’. I only recommend three hinges and bigger size ball bearing hinges to my customer for gate length anywhere from 20’ to 28’. 14’ is no big deal. Why your wall start to crack could be due to poor masonry workmanship OR the gate install uses ordinary 2.5” wall plug like 8mm-10mm where else I would use 4” wall plug at 12mm for my customer. Cause the deeper the wall plug expansion, it holds way inner side of the wall hence better grip (bricks instead of outer cement layer). Many installer of Autogate just uses 2.5” wall plugs at 8mm-10mm size due to costing and easier to install. Hardly or nobody uses 12mm 4” expansion wall plugs 😂

QUOTE(dudester @ Dec 2 2025, 08:13 AM) please recommend other alternative for consideration. do PM if not convenient to post here. Depending on your budget. There is DG gate from Klang who happens to use DCMoto GFM 925W or GFM975 while Fagolli Autogate which happens to be DCMoto very own aluminium trackless gate. I would recommend Fagolli Autogate as they are using the latest version of the DCMoto GFM 975 which additional optional accessories like key activated partial side opening without carrying remote control and close-only wireless button for closing gate upon exit. Both item are wireless and runs on a lithium battery which said should last up to 10 years. Fagolli even have the GFM 975 in solar powered version for off the grid Autogate operation but you’ll need to replace two 12V 7aH SLA battery every 3-4 years.

QUOTE(dudester @ Dec 4 2025, 02:33 PM) Thanks for the recommendation. Was looking through TikTok and saw one Golden Top Door. Seems like DCMoto is the default local brand. Update - Looked at Fagolli, cannot accept their gate design. Isnt the Delux using the same moto you mentioned? No need auto sensor and solar. You can browse DG Gate design located at Klang. DCMoto brand can say it’s Malaysia no 1 brand 😂. They have been producing automatic gate system since 1999 or earlier. Can say they are pioneer. Yes Delux is using DCMoto GFM925W but under OEM branding and they able to option IR sensor safety granted your motor each side wiring have additional 2 cores.
