For the gate stopper, well this is the main disadvantage of screw driven arm type as mentioned by dblcss. Screw driven arm type has a set of length the shaft can move outward which pushes the gate opening degree. That's when the problem happen when your gate opening degree doesn't need that much distance to be open causing the screw driven arm type to find its way of stopping with the much length leftover to propel the gate.

For the DCMOTO GFM925W doesn't have this problem of stopping the gate from pushing further. Underneath the motor arm comes with a pair of "gate stopper" which is adjustable for opening and closing gate. The best part of this stopper is that you can adjust the opening or closing anytime if you found your gate misaligned. The gate stopper design doesn't rely on your gate to stop the motor pushing further hence it is stopped by its own mechanism underneath the arm mounting.

I will definitely recommend you get GFM 925W that comes with wireless keypad. The best part of the wireless keypad is that indoor you can operate both side, each side (left & right), panic siren, switching your pillar light (if available), locking the system in case accidentally trigger the gate open or close.

The GFM925W is strong enough to open and close the gate. No worries on strong wind as this motor automatically locks the position whenever it stops. Is optional for you to install the center locking mechanism if you want extra lock but will be pointless if you choose to open left or right side as the lock is only one sided opening.

Those days many Taiping customer then to use two sliding gate in a vice versa form. Well is costly and secondly you have to maintain those system for one house.

Folding gate system solve that problem. I don't see much point of using sliding gate anymore.

usually for 20ft / 22 ft sliding will use two sliding gate to open vice versa. Cause sliding gate which slide to the side way is no longer a favorite choice due to the cost and maintain those roller bearing. For some customer, they choose to have two sliding gate moving sideway on each other way. That requires two sliding motor to operate both gate.

If just being one slide sliding gate is less problem but 3-5 years time you have to change the roller bearing on the bottom or else you opt for stainless steel roller bearing in which last longer. These single insulation cables are meant for indoors with PVC piping only. Outdoors should use at least double insulation or else armoured cable.
