Hi, I'm thinking to replace my old hikvision SDI cctv to IPCam. My requirement is the IPCam must have ONVIF support so I can directly record them using my existing NVR.
My choices at the moment is either TPLink Tapo or EZVIZ.

Anyone have experience in using them?

Can I use existing 12v power to power them instead of using the supplied power adapter?

You will need EOC(Ethernet over Coax) and the 12V DC can be reused. What brand/model is your NVR?

Check ur camera input voltage, if 12VDC, then can reuse the power supply.

Thanks, will look into this. With this I assume I need to use POE switch?
Something like 8x [camera <> EOC <> COAX <> EOC ] <> SWITCH <> NVR?
NVR is Hikvision DS-7208HUHI-K1

No POE involved. You will need a normal switch at NVR end.

My bad, I don't have NVR, mine is DVR.
That EOC only have 10Base-T, will it be enough?

Yes, that's the reason I specify my requirement to be one with ONVIF in my first post.
My issue now is the existing wiring of my current analog CCTV is 12v and coaxial. Really don't want to lay new RJ45 cable if I can avoid it)
Since that is the case, I can't go with Tapo IP Camera with wifi as they're using 9v, that left me with VIGI lineup which using 12v although they're mostly don't have WIFI. (or someone has better suggestions?)

Correct me if I'm wrong but I guess I have 2 choices?
1- Go with Tapo IPCamera: I don't have to lay new RJ45 since the camera has WIFI, only need to add POE switch together with EOC.
2- Go with VIGI IPCamera: I can reuse existing 12v power and only add EOC to connect to my switch.

Bonus question, what if current coaxial has some interference? Will that affect IPCamera network feed as well?

SDI very high requirements on cable, if used EOC should be ok. I have a customer factory also using SDI & once switch to IP settled. I actually fixed 2 IP camera via one coax.

Did you use the existing 12v to power them? What kind of ip camera did you use?
