To be honest, not many are able to practice the analytical & problem solving skills into their real life or working environment. In the end, many just blame the subject as useless subject.

I do agree with your view, in real practical life, the ability learned in Add Math will enable you to solve the obstacle face with multiples approaches & usually we will opts for the most easy, fast & cost effective solution.
