Btw, just try asking these question to yourself
- Do you want better performance (in terms of the laptop spec)?
- What do you want to do with your laptop?
- Willing to learn new things (learning how to use mac osx)?
If you very mind the performance and gaming, just go for XPS. Just to let you know, apple products are little "overprice". GMA 950 is no-no for gaming. With 5k budget, you can get a quite good laptop (not mac laptop), such as Acer gemstone, definite good if you are a gamer
