OH ya.. comments about ur pic. Pic NO.1 is the best of all..others are ok, i think doing some photoshop editing should do the job. Lesser gamma a bit,adjust contrast and brightness, do some leveling, then colour balancing should be great! And also.. dun forget to calibrate ur monitor, the picture's brightness/exposure in ur monitor might look ok to you, but for calibrated monitors, they'll look different. If u are unsure about it, take a photo and develop it, if they look nice and like something from the magazine, then it's ok. =) just my 2 cents.
