Depends on shop?
Lenovo, HP been selling them for sometimes, even now already AMD 6000 series. Some brick and mortar might only carry old stock perhaps. |

1. Price-wise: For general usage, AMD much cheaper and can get the job done.
2. 12gen is tick phase in intel tick-tock model. Usually user will wait for tock model. This post has been edited by yeo1992cc: Aug 20 2022, 12:13 AM |

QUOTE(Napalm_man @ Aug 24 2022, 12:42 PM) In TS case he is looking at desktop prices. For DIY people RM200 is not really much because they are already know the market price for these processors, motherboards & ram. It is adjustable to ones own budget. But when buying laptops or ready built pc, the RM200 price is expensive because the selling price already on the high end of RM2000. Example like a 11th Gen RM2799 - RM2899 laptop will breach RM3000 if it was equipped with a 12 Gen processor. To a regular buyer, another RM200 just for a newer processor is waste of money for what it still does the same thing. |

Is popular but many end users cannot afford the price. Old end users if want to upgrade to new processor, you need to change the motherboard also because different socket again.
Basically a lot of people cannot afford it. All brands now carrying 12th gen Intel processor on their new models. But 11th gen and 12th gen desktop/laptop got a gap in term of pricing. |
