Anyone here ever change telco e.g. from Digi to others to pre order before? is it a lot of things need to do (walk in etc)?
If you change telco suddenly, you might not be able to enjoy certain telco prices. Cause they usually ask you to be with them for 6 months plus first before they let you enjoy it with the contract offer prices.
It is possible to change telco before pre order, but suggest you MNP at center because faster than MNP online. Not all telco has strict requirement of staying 6 months like digi to get device benefit, so do check with the telco you want to go for.
Yes pretty sure majority of telcos these days want you to be at least 6 months old account. Maxis, Celcom , Digi, Umobile. Unless they decide to update their policies already but I don’t think so. They are doing all they can to prevent their own losses as well and make sure that the offers are only for good customers.
I’m thinking if I should pass my iPhone 13 pro to my mom and get myself a new iPhone 14P, or just get a iPhone 13 for her cause it’s cheaper and probably can last for 4-5 years. Hmmm. My iPhone 13P is still very new, like not even 6 months.

Yeah since I stick to my phone for years, Id prefer to wait for a major iphone refresh/upgrade Iphone 14 is indeed not much of an upgrade, but I am tempted by 14 pro’s dynamic island Anyhow will probably still try to wait for another year and hope for a major refresh, dont want to be the only one using lightning in a few years lol
Yeah it’s still old technology. Small upgrade but not something new. iPhone 5 is supposedly to come with new tech, most likely the usb-c.
Most probably not, although Apple just indirectly rendered my current phone as obsolete with the new camera specs
Hoping for a USB-C iPhone next year, then we can finally move on from this wretched Lightning connector.
Yes, I will upgrade only when they get rid of that stupid lightning port. Otherwise nothing in 14 series really stand out or that innovative either. I guess innovation still goes to Android no matter what.

haha usbc might come following or next next year, or might not even come at all get first, think later bro...
USB-C will come up. It’s not a if but when thing. And the duration that EU gives Apple is 2 years, otherwise they risked billions of fine again. The expiration date is 2023.
usbc is a good to have for me, not important as I use iCloud for most stuffs, almost never need to use cable at all, especially when most my work are sync between macbooks to phone.. having said that, of course i was excited when they switch ipad to usbc back then.. but still not a main requirement for me, at least for now...
with all the rapid innovation, its really hard to tell what they have for us in the coming months or years, just like the notch that everyone hated, all of a sudden they make it interactive, just when everyones hoping for a notch removal..
one thing for sure though, their innovation is all about synchronising all the eco systems together, hoping people to get stuck to their ecosystem, more revenue for them..
Well no revenue when EU bans them from selling Apple products. Easy. The usb-c is a court order. Not like their pipeline or plan or something. Given the choice of course Apple would keep the lightning port or lightning port 2.0 forever.
Regardless of what they implement though, you will definitely find reasons to justify to their actions and agree with it. It is known that Stockholm syndrome is quite prevalent in the all fanbases.

Lowest price I spot was on 9.9 sale from TMT store Lazada. RM5089 for 256 GB.It seem like they try to clear the stock with only alphone green and sierra blue left. Eligible for 0% installment too. Regarding ip14 p/pm; crash detection is available worldwide right? Only satellite emergency available in US/ Canada.
Don’t know if anybody answered you but crash detection is available worldwide according to their website. XD
I never use prores with 13pm. 256gb can fit only 15 minutes of pro res video. 15 sec video already 1gb plus hahaha. Nice to have feature

Yeah I’m in dilemma as well as to how frequent I will use ProRes. You only used once? Why is that? Yeah looks damn nice ProRes. But not sure how frequent gonna use
Yeah but not a lot of monitors or screen can play 4K res iirc? These features are like: it’s not something I need but something I want. Or good to have when the moment arises, in which case the moment actually never ever happens. lol!
Hmm ok, I'm looking at the AU folks and most of them went for the leather case which got me curious. I'll probably hold on until someone do a review of the case whether it's good or bad.
If you get the black leather or dark blue ones, then it will be okay. The rest is nope.
36 months instalment has started quite a while, and believe it or not it actually bring in a lot of sales. Is it a good thing? Absolutely not, and this goes to show how shitty MY purchasing power is. And also the mentality of the people.

I think its more about cashflow. I believe many people like me can easily fork out the money to cash buy an iphone, but why do that when u can stretch it to more years. Somemore 0% installment, I dont see any downside to that. Definitely can use the extra cash to invest rather than paying 1 shot. And i think 36 months is the sweet spot because after pay finish 3 years, then can change new phone again. Just nice 3 years change 1 phone.
Yes you do you. And if it’s 12 months instalment, that reason is very much justifiable. But even a good investor knows that to stretch out instalment that long, means you can’t afford to pay the 12 months instalment because it’s just way too high va your other monthly commitments and income. It’s a red flag. This thing doesn’t generate income as well.
But the fact that the country allows instalment to stretch till 36 months for something so small, sigh… It shows that our consuming power is very weak. Moreover, people just keep piling up all the instalments right now without considering the fact they are already deep neck into debt.
Anyhow. This is an iPhone tread. As long as you are happy go for it.

There is nothing wrong when you choose max installment month, as long you can pay every month. But for those cannot control themself keep upgrade gadget every year + keep installment, you just one step to bankruptcy.
Bank very love this kind of people, cause they can earn the interest if user late payment.
No lo. Banks hate them. Cause it’s hard to take back those money. The moment that person misses one or two payments. Then most likely that person is just a bad payee.
And I can tell you iPhone contracts are the ones with the most fraud, and never pay back issues. Especially the higher the stretch of the instalments, the riskier.
