I am using Maxis. Does anyone knows if we can transfer e-SIM from older iPhone to the 14 without having to generate new e-SIM from Maxis?

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Sep 19 2022, 12:54 PM) Nope. You have to go back to Maxis centre to get it done. They would have to send a new e-sim to your phone. QUOTE(figure8 @ Sep 19 2022, 12:54 PM) i thought we can easily activate esim in new phone. thats why esim exist. i use yoodo, can activate esim by scanning qr code in new phone. not sure other telco QUOTE(gabriel.l @ Sep 19 2022, 01:19 PM) I believe u can just scan QR code from old iPhone. I'm currently using Celcom eSim, no issue if change device. QUOTE(sookk @ Sep 19 2022, 01:30 PM) Had the same question ... called up Maxis and confirmed that if you change phone, you have to step into Maxis Center to get a new e-SIM ... silly implementation since the iPhone have the ability to transfer e-sim from one iPhone to another iPhone .... Oh man, I just called Maxis and yes, have to walk in and change the e-SIM. What a bummer! Why can’t they just let us use the feature in iOS 16!If you go to Maxis Center to get your e-sim... it is free. But if you go to Maxis VAR ... then it's chargeable. so now ... have to wait for phone to arrive through delivery from Maxis... then end up still have to step into Maxis to get the e-Sim |
