First time ordering from Apple.com in ten years.

I ordered at 1AM (after ITWorld kept fucking up the payment)

at this stage my amex card is still not charged. It's normal, right? Called amex and they're saying the amount is already on floating.

about the extended warranty.

I bought from Apple.com

are there companies that sell extended warranties for iphones separately?

ah, yes. Just called Maybank to verify with them. The purchase protection is still valid. For Amex Reserve card (don't think they are valid for other lower tier/free cards)

Automatic manufacturers' warranty extension 2 years (since the original is 1 year, it is +1. If it is originally 2 years, then +2)

but those considering to re-sell after 1st year, would be better to have in-store extended warranty. Let the next owner sendiri claim rather than going through your own amex. tongue.gif

initially on website it says ETA 03 Oct, now it's stated as 07 Oct
