can anyone here share your experience pre ordering from machines and switch last year? wondering which one should I go for.. iirc machines had some hiccups with the 13 Series pre order, or was it switch?
*
Urban Republic have been my go to choice for the pre-order iPhone instead.
It is from same parent company as Switch and way less people compared to Switch.

Not sure what the reason that people would line up to Switch whereas I can easily walk in and out within 10 minutes for pre-order and phone pick up at Urban Republic.

I am getting 14 this year too. still undecided Pro or ProMax
256gb seem to be very popular choice as it serve majority of user need.

Hopefully can reserved one during pre-order.

Pro-Res video is not something i will use but definitely good to have only.

I'd go for 18 or 24 month installments. Middle ground. I have the money to buy full cash but I'd rather preserve my cashflow. And incase of a rainy day. Who knows.

I'm going for 256GB Deep purple. still unsure Pro or Pro Max.
*
In the same dilemma now, love the Pro 6.1 size but like Pro Max Battery Life.
Color might be taking purple too since it can match well with my Ipad Mini6 brows.gif

So hard to choose, but in the heart leaning toward battery life. feel that good battery life is much more important as plan to use it for long time.

go to the shops and try out the 6.7 and see if you are fine with the weight, if yes then just go for it.. remember casing will add some weight in tho..
*
Done that to test the 6.7 and it is still manageable for me but it is a bit of stretch for 1 hand operation.
the casing is hard to say since it really depend on the type of case but i would go for max protection since i tend to drop phone very easily.

Why still using sim card?esim easier
*
we are still lucky that we have both esim and physical sim.
I would be using Esim for the main local line and having the option to use physical sim is critical for me.
my job required me to travel a lot and having the convenient using physical sim is huge.

Need a smaller size phone with a powerful camera.
I always gotten the ultra,OnePlus pro and other flagship android.
but it's gotten bit bulky for me. Therefore after evaluating will try the iPhone pro due to its 6.1" size but same powerful camera.

Just worried about few things now.
Porting of apps n data. Is the WhatsApp android to iPhone available yet?
Apple care, scared it will cause a bomb if the screen breaks
Storage space - I only gotten the 256, in my current phone I only used 170/256. So hopefully enough space else would need to subscribe to icloud
*
Currently in same situation as you with porting over from android to IOS.
Had been using android phone for almost 10 years now.
Porting data is really convenient now for WhatsApp's as it can be done via Move to iOS apps.
Just download that and use it during phone setup.

your usage is quite high considering for 170Gb now, i would suggest either cut down usage or upgrade to 512.
I will be getting 256Gb as my usage only at 128gb so far.
I do plan on using the Family plan 1Tb one, so no concern with the phone data. (Shared with family)

Im in the same situation as well! Has been using android (Samsung) since smartphone era, this is my first time going into IOS ecosystem. Super excited and looking forward to the ecosystem. My current phone is S10e and the battery is dying, need to charge 3 times at least per day. So i think 14 PM will be a very big upgrade for me. Hope this 14PM can last me at least 4 - 5 years.  thumbsup.gif
*
Same situation as me, battery life need to charge 3 times per days and the anxiety of leaving home without power banks
14 PM will be good upgrade for me too, the plan would be using it for 4 years+ too.
Hopefully I won't be poison to upgrade with new release sweat.gif

I'm keeping my old phone so will only need to port WhatsApp into iPhone. Others like images n videos will be in my secondary phone. I think thats should be enough.
Will see have already placed the order for 256 GB haha.
Worse come to worse, I'll get the iCloud subscription if needed
*
256gb is solid choice. thumbup.gif
Ya, worse come to worse Icloud is still there.

Same...My first iPhone (last year with mini iPad).
No consider any Samsung products anymore.
Still consider Pro or Pro Max.
Pro lite but small screen
Pro Max heavy but big sceen😫
*
Ya, getting the IpadMini last year was a good poison for me.
the smoothness and stability of IOS is enough for me to switch to IOS this year.
Will go for Pro Max now for the maximum battery life. icon_idea.gif
The weight will be minor 40g heavier compared to my current Note10+.

Currently using Note10+ too. 🤣🤣
40g + casing .
May carry out 260g device.
Which colour and GB you will preorder?
*
Pro Max Purple and 256gb
Been thinking of black but Ipad Mini Purple and 14 Purple might be nice brows.gif brows.gif
Getting the special series color is safe choice no matter what.
No matter how can still cover it up with case later on cool2.gif

I would say crash will happened.
I doubt website will be able to withstand the sudden influx of the user to cater for pre-order.
Hopefully everyone can secure their unit without much hiccups.

Ya, i feel this round of pre-order much easier compared to Ipad Mini 6 period.
Anyhow, might be this is unpopular year after all.
IPhone 12 and 13 user have little reason to upgrade for now. Majority would be waiting for next iphone with major change.

Any recommendation for charger?
I thought I no need to buy any charger as I have a Ugreen fast charger that's 3-4 yrs old but it is not able to charge the iphone either using ugreen cable or iphone original cable.
Currently charging using original charger for iphone 11  sleep.gif
*
I got the aukey 90W GAN charger for the phone too during 10.10 offer for RM128

So far serve it very well and not feeling any heat on charger despite charging iPad mini 6 and 14PM at same time.

Just wondering if there's any hardcore Android camp recently bought into IP14PRO / Max? How's your adapting so far?
*
Not a hardcore android fan but had been using android for past 6 years, last used iPhone 5.
Got my phone on 8 Oct. So far using the 14PM have been okay, still getting used to the iPhone AOD and found that it is quite distracting compared to android AOD

The negative is the animation is quite slow compared to android but the user experience of UI and smoothness is good.
Battery life is best as this can easily whole days for my usage.
Unplug 6.30AM and reached home 7PM still have 50% average so far.

hi all, how do u all find -
Dynamic Island? useful?

how many here use it regularly?
*
I would say useful in term of convenience for timer, music and navigation.
Using it few times per week
Other than that, no really much anymore.
