10am send in my phone and collect at 3pm.

Normally quite fast one if experienced customer service, pass them ur phone, go shopping2 a while can come back take

Do we need to backup ourselves first all data? Or the people chnaging the battery can do it ie backup for us then transfer back to our phone after battery replaced?

Backup yourself. Apple & authorized service wont backup for you. Its a risk.

So far i never backup anything when i replaced batt my prevoius iphones.. not sure that if there were any unfortunate cases happen to other people before that mihht wipe out their storage..

My experience with service center, before they take your phone in they will insist that your phone is restored as new (wiped before handing in), as there’s a checklist they need to go through before taking the phone for any servicing.

If so difficult to backup, just don't do it. Just think like after replace battery, you got "brand new phone".

True. This is because of data privacy & protection. They are not gonna take responsibility for any data leak or lost thus they gonna ask you to self backup, either icloud or offline via mac/pc

So always do a backup thru itunes, especially before send it to any authorised service centre 😻🔆😻🔆😻🔆😻

Yes, need backup self as they will initiate factory reset after replaced.
