My son is in Japan. He can confirm that the shutter sound cannot be turn off whatsoever. He comes back to Malaysia to buy his iPhone.

If using camera LIVE mode, will Japan set iphones still have shutter sound?

Hi anyone knows how much the price will drop for iphone 14 pro right after iphone 15 pro launch? Want to determine if I should buy now or wait for the price drop in Sep'23. Anyone monitor? Appreciate the information. Thanks.

I was told that Live Photos mode still have shutter sound for Japanese iPhone. However apparently if you are using iOS 15, the shutter sound on Japanese iPhones can be turned off if you are using a non Japanese SIM card and your location is not in Japan.
I’m not able to confirm this yet.

I switched out of Android because I hated the idea or customization after some time. I just wanted simple tech which works. It's like turning on a TV and just using it.

I understand that you can choose to not do any customization on Android too but those functions being there made me spend too much time on it. Apple gives me that discipline that I much needed. I don't even have a choice now. The phone does everything.

I will miss the swipe from right to left, to go back to album list when viewing photos with one Hand. Can iPhone photo app do that already?
Another thing to miss is the Secure Folder lol.

If you’re viewing media in the Photos.app, swiping down on the item while in full screen will return you to the album view (it's always behaved like this I think).

If you're talking about a secure folder for certain photos, the Hidden album in the Photos app would work for that. Since iOS 16, Photos app will ask for Face ID when user wants to open the Hidden and Recently Deleted albums .

Hi, I recently upgraded to a new phone with Face ID from a non-Face ID iPhone. I noticed that Face ID only works at certain angles. For example, it won't unlock when the phone is level with my face. I have already tried removing and re-registering my Face ID, with Face ID with the mask feature. Does anyone have any tips for improving the unlock angle?

Yes. Angle your face when registering in the position you would normally look at the phone when unlocking.

Why my notification didn’t pop up when display is off?

It just happen today. Setting checked all normal.

Look at your phone/camera everytime you unlock.

No difference in terms of usage. You wont even notice its there just like you would with a physical sim.
