Machines gave me a call yesterday to update on my IPhone 14 Pro 512GB Deep Purple status. Initial thought the call is about ready for collection, unfortunately they told me that my waiting time will be extended for another 6 weeks estimate. So for that, they gave me 2 options:
1 - to wait for the phone to arrive after 6 weeks
2 - to cancel the order

I've told them to let me think about it and they will call me back again today for my answer.

In the end, I've brought IPhone 14 Pro 256GB Deep Purple from Harvey Norman. Though may not be my ideal storage space as i'm the one who holds my phone for a very long time (Upgrading from my IPhone 7 six years of age) and i got tired of waiting. As usual in Harvey Norman, they're trying to sell additional various protection plan between 700-1k+, didn't listen much as i just want to get the phone without additional add on. So be aware of this to those who going to get only the phone with apple 1 year warranty.

So today going to ask machines to cancel my pre-order which i ordered on 30th September. Truly disappointed with them, lesson learned & will buy direct from apple online store in future.

BTW update:

1. Machines refund - got it today after submitting my cancellation request since 23rd October, so it's been 12 working days since, consider within the 14 working days they promised.

2. 14 pro max (silver) 512 gb - apple just updated will be delivered to me next Monday!

Sounds stupid but I've waited this iPhone longer than my X50 lmao lesson learnt so hard this year, totally killed the joy of receiving the new device

i m using PD Charger 30W Adapter with Type C Cable Lighting to charge my 14PM, i have noticed that the device gets abit warmed. Is that normal ?

Yea, machines called and I have proceeded with the cancellation and refund request. So the process for this will take around 21 working days.

yes it gets pretty warm at times - using a 60w at home with PD. Office using 20w PD.

what is the duration of charging when you use 60W PD ? I m using 30W PD which gives me 1 hr 10 mins from 10% to 100% .

yes similar range - i feel using 20w-30w is more than enough considering not much faster.

so y'all should pull out of any pre-orders if you don't want to wait long-long and just go hunt around in stores

256gb should be ideal if you subscribe to iCloud storage. 512gb and 1tb if you use 4k video or pro res a lot. Enjoy your iPhone bro. That is a huge upgrade from ip7.

Similar experience. Recently I bought iPhone 14 Pro 256GB gold from Harvey Norman. The salesman try to sell me protection plan and I just told him for the years buying iPhones, I never buy any protection plan. He just acknowledge, proceed with the sale.

I never bother preorder iPhone. I think it's better to walk in purchase or buy it online.
