try to pay for pre-order as early as possible once it launches (right after 12.01 am), once you paid for it then you secure your order, when launch on sep 23 you just need to go to the outlet and collect your phone without queueing (you can select self collect or delivery depending on the outlet), normally if you open a 24 months contract via telco its harder to secure a unit compare to pre-ordering outright from AASP like Machines/Switch etc..

not hard, just choose the variant you want and self collect at which outlet etc etc...and proceed to checkout.... its easier for outright as we got many choices, compare to telco limited walk in centers...

so bro no upgrade this year?

I kinda feel the same as you, not sure how often people actually use the functions on the notch, to me the pill shape is something new and I couldn't care much about other functions that comes with it..

usbc is a good to have for me, not important as I use iCloud for most stuffs, almost never need to use cable at all, especially when most my work are sync between macbooks to phone.. having said that, of course i was excited when they switch ipad to usbc back then.. but still not a main requirement for me, at least for now...

with all the rapid innovation, its really hard to tell what they have for us in the coming months or years, just like the notch that everyone hated, all of a sudden they make it interactive, just when everyones hoping for a notch removal..

one thing for sure though, their innovation is all about synchronising all the eco systems together, hoping people to get stuck to their ecosystem, more revenue for them..

If you manage to pre order on sep16, then you can collect the phone on 23sep..can opt for self collect or delivery, subject to availability..

you can't take up another contract before the existing one end, and there is a penalty for early settlement.. Once you paid the penalty then you can do it online or walk in..

Maxis used to allow early termination for anything below 30 days (back in 2019), now its not possible anymore, they won't even allow even if your contract is 3 days left.. that's maxis though, not sure about other telco..

no shortcut, just refresh quick, enter details etc and proceed to checkout...

telco tariffs on the new iphones are not out yet, they normally release it very last minute.. could be on the same day before preorder..

official launch sep 23, besides the 14 plus, which will be here in october...

Yea they did a really good job last year, hope they maintain it this year too...I remember maxis did that too, for iphone X iirc, but only once..

12pm to 14pm I believe the major difference you will notice is the battery (assuming if its the same or better than the 13PM), imo its a good upgrade

anyone remember pre order from machines/switch/ITWorld has an option. to pay deposit and settle full amount during self collect? or there is an option for full payment during pre order as well?

me too first time pre ordering from retailers, used to only pre order from Maxis, and alternate years purchase outright from retail stores and apple website..

Yes you are right.. about 1 min vid drain up about 6gb..so it's pretty pointless for 256gb..

Haha yes, having battery percentage on the display screen is pretty basic even back in Nokia days.. really not sure why apple went backwards from iPhone 8 to X onwards we lost the most basic feature lol, glad it's back now thiguh, better late than never

used only once to test out the feature, took a 5 mins or so vid and drain up 30+gb, so nope lol
