Planning to buy iPhone 14 pro, any 14 pro users can give feedbacks. I'm from Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.

wait for 15 pro, it is rumoured to be much better than 14 pro due to:
1. 3nm processor (more powerful, while providing same or longer battery life)
2. periscope zoom (at least 6x optical, much more than current 3x)
3. thunderbolt 4 port (no more lightning, can reuse existing usb-c cable, allows up to 40 Gbps data transfer)

How about the camera on iPhone 14 pro?
*
If you take a lot of videos, it's the best camera.

If you take mostly photos, get a Pixel 7 Pro instead. Save money some more

Actually I take photos and videos for my work

If both, then iPhone.

But you need to keep in mind that in iOS limitations are:
1. Cannot side load apps. That means no pirated streaming apps or games. Must use official apps only.
2. Limited customisation. You can change wallpaper and widgets only, must stick to app grid. No themes or custom icons. No rooting to get extra features.
3. Different way to transfer files. If transfer to Mac, can use inbuilt Finder on Mac. If transfer to another iPhone, use AirDrop. If transfer to Windows PC, have to install and use Apple Device Manager or iTunes app. Cannot just plug in and select storage mode like on Android. If transfer to another Android, you're out of luck and have to use WhatsApp/email/cloud storage.

If you're okay with the above, I'd say iPhone just has a better all around experience in terms of software smoothness, stability, and support.

I will miss the swipe from right to left, to go back to album list when viewing photos with one Hand. Can iPhone photo app do that already?
Another thing to miss is the Secure Folder lol.
*
If you’re viewing media in the Photos.app, swiping down on the item while in full screen will return you to the album view (it's always behaved like this I think).

If you're talking about a secure folder for certain photos, the Hidden album in the Photos app would work for that. Since iOS 16, Photos app will ask for Face ID when user wants to open the Hidden and Recently Deleted albums .

Went to Digi Center in Sunway Pyramid. I was told by the staff that while it's possible to have multilple esims, only 1 esim can be active at one time.

So 1 physical sim + esim can be active at the same time on 1 phone. Can't have 2 esims active at the same time.  sad.gif

lol don't blindly listen to staff, they can be dumb mistaken / not trained properly.

Apple themselves state iPhone 13 series and later can use two active eSIMs:

Just ask them for an eSIM QR code and scan that yourself (if they insist on being dumb about it, act as if your other line is using physical SIM lmao)

Hi Bros,

Was interested to get the IP 14 pro from an authorised seller. The phone i'm using now is a 2017 Huawei. According the salesman, the move to ios app is the only way but not 100% guarantee and some data might lost and they had no such services of helping customer to do the transfer.

I'm more concern of transferring my phone contact, sms and whatsapp data only. The photos and videos maybe i can still access my old phone from time to time. Any advice? Is move to ios app the only way?

which reseller is this lol

haven't heard of this behaviour before. usually they all semangat to help you set up your new phone that you bought from them

transferring via move to iOS app doesn't move or delete anything from original phone. it's only copying. just don't reset the huawei after completing the transfer, all the old data will still be there

hmmmm I see that a lot of people either ask about the battery or say that the battery longevity not that good for 14 series...

there might be some truth to this - my 13 Pro Max since launch is at 85% perfomance (and that's a two year old phone with optimised charging disabled)
