We were playing away and at Brighton where we took their player of the year, their manager and coaching staff. Just the atmosphere itself, we were already under a lot of pressure. We should have been more flexible to send the ball higher up into the opponents half, instead of keep trying to play from the back. Needless to say Cucurella was already underperforming and now under tremendous pressure from the roaring home fans, so it wasn't our best CBs to pay from the back like we usually do. Chilwell should have started as the wingback to relieve some pressure on that side instead of Pulisic who was more offensive and always further up the field.

Poor starting lineup and formation against a team that he should know very well. We have been lucky with T.Silva god-like mode but we cannot always expect it to be so, hence his mistakes.

Was half expecting an early substitution again like in the Man Utd match but it didn't come. We came back with fighting spirit in the 2nd half but only last as long as politicians after winning their election. If I didn't follow the game, I thought we were leading by the relaxed way we were playing.

Our first loss but we take on the top of the table Gunners next. Will Potter give a masterclass or continue the spiralling disasterclass.

In this match, zakaria, azpi and chilwell all injured..

Wonder why potter started this XI when he can rest some of the players for this weekend and give chance to youth like pep does

Now it adds up to the list of injuries.. unnecessary problem

A meaningless win in UCL (perhaps morale boost) but at what cost.

Hello darkness (injuries), my old friend. You've come to ruin our season again.

After looking at Arteta and Arsenal's current form and run, maybe we can give Potter some chance and time. In before I speak too soon and Arsenal already peaked and about to "pancut awal" and start to decline to their "usual" self. Haha. Arsenal don't have much injuries....yet....right?

We already lost of main wingbacks like James and Chilwell, just like last season. Maybe our stagnation will begin. Or maybe Cucu will become good again on the left side and our master-of-none utility player, RLC on the right and maybe this makeshift plaster fix can tahan until Jan, when Papa Boleh can splash the cash to patch up some holes.

World Cup coming, I hope T.Silva can survive the upcoming onslaught of matches and go Qatar and win the World Cup. Not so much on wanting Brazil to win it but I would like to see T.Silva win it.

At this rate, Potter might as well be mad and use all the youngsters that we bought.

The old guys, they just keep playing it safe. It is like they cannot be reprogrammed.

Completely outplayed by Arsenal. Only lucky we lost by 1 goal.

He should be able to survive till January but what will he seek for reinforcement priority? Rice? Bellingham? Trossaud?

Absolutely not looking forward to play with City in the Cup game.

Yeap, time for major overhaul instead of patching holes.

Also we need some major leadership in the middle. Azpi was okay but he is not a vocal person that can motivate the players. Jorgi as well.
Someone like JT, Roy Keane or Van Dijk.

Man, we gotta really try to get Joško Gvardiol. I haven't watched any of his games until last night's but he really performed well.

Haha, Lukaku. Haaa, do another interview la.

We are still playing second fiddle to Real and Barca. Those clubs have more heritage and legacy. But paying that crazy fees for someone who is not yet of legal age to come and play is madness. The same madness that bought Hazard at that age he was and with 1 year left on contract.

Rather we spend that money (but some top-up) can get Rice who is approaching the end of his contract soon and becoming more affordable and renew our midfield. Bellingham will be a long stretch because even if we match the highest bidder's offer, we are not his first choice.

Boehly? He might proposed 4-4-4. biggrin.gif
Already having difficulties scoring, now more difficult with another striker injured.

Boehly, don't talk. Just spend the money. (ala Mourinho)

Even if we get Enzo (maybe Rice) and Nkunku (next season), is GP the right guy to lead us?

In my mind I keep telling myself, look at Arteta, but being so used to Chelsea's hire and fire ways, we are so used to get some immediate (not necessarily long lasting) positive effects. He just sits there with that look and not reacting.

While I chuckled at Liverpool losing to Brentford, I just realised with the win, Brentford leapfrogged over us on the table. Gonna be so unlikely to finish Top 4 unless our injured players come back and performing on all cylinders and other teams start their own plague of injuries.

Hope Boehly and the whatever recruitment guys they hired are playing some kind of 4D chess moves to get better prices for future players.

Hope they are not mad to think Enzo will push for an exit at that offered price.

Benfica mau sell at release clause 120m
Boehly and co only want to pay 85m max

That's why I said, hopefully got reason behind that move. Maybe some clubs after hearing this will come to Boehly and say, you can have my player for that price. Also we understand Chelsea don't want to trigger FFP. Maybe Benfica will say okay, 85m now upfront, 40m later. From what we heard, Benfica stubborn, don't want to listen/accept deferred payment arrangements.

Tak tahu lah, want to say "just get some midfield reinforcements" but scared we end up with Bakayoko and Drinkwater cases.

I was expecting a worse score. I don't like seeing Chelsea lose but losing 1-0 to City, keeping Haaland quiet and only letting one in because of a lack of concentration / stupidity of a GK who didn't claim his 6-yard box, it wasn't too embarrassing.

I suppose with all these injuries, we get to see some of the youngsters come out to play and I hope they do good and give Potter a reason to drop some of the senior players.
