The only way I see it is to fully restructure the club. By saying so, relegate to division 1 or division 2. Let it sink there for few years like Leeds and maybe just maybe they come back alive like salty fish
*
We are way too big for that. We needed RR to run us like a German club. Now we have no direction, just letting things happen.

Yes. I do feel like the resident oldie already, been supporting since Ron Atkinson's time.
As much as I dislike the Glazers, this is more DoF and the players.
Neville no longer has any credibility to me. He's trying to play to the gallery to restore his standing among the fans after the Ole fiasco.

Try giving Simon Jordan a listen instead.
DDG requested to do a post match interview even though he was not scheduled for one.
DDG was one of the main factors we lost, if not the main, I must give him credit to requesting to come up and face the music. Our Captain on the other hand....wait for his Facebook post of "We go again".
*
Personally i dont think he is the main reason why we lost, the first goal was all on him no doubts, but we didnt score a single goal. Frank did his homework and ETH didnt, they pressed Eriksen when we tried to build up from the back. I was screaming for another CB when they scored the second goal, we dont have the correct players to play this system. If FDJ was at that Eriksen spot, i feel we wouldn't have conceded that second goal but we would probably still lose the game, pathetic performance from everyone including the manager.

Just rumors.
But if it is true, he really gamble hard.

For me FDJ 99.99% won't come.
Dunno where does the Ten Hag confidence from.

But again it is just rumors, may be it is totally different stories.

Come or not, good luck to Ten Hag.
*
Dude if he doesnt come, you dont have to imagine the uproar ...

I feel he is still coming. We still need at least one attacking signing.

When was the last time selling an academy player that proved to be a mistake? Maybe he doesnt have what it is needed, even Angel Gomes was highly rated and he hasnt done much abroad.

if i have to give a name... evans... his replacement costly and doesnt play
*
Never rated him, but he had quite a number of games in the first team so doesnt really count. I mean like academy player that is ready for first XI but let go or sold off, like Angel Gomes, Garner, the guy that got injured that allowed Rashford a chance (cant remember his name LOL), Ravel Morrison etc.

pogba, because we bought him back for 80mil and let him go for free again....  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif

Pogba didnt want to sign the contract so Ferguson banished him. Overall he cost us loads cuz even as a teenager we "gifted" his parents a house or something to get him to join the academy LOL.

Casemiro is the best DMF in the world. 60m is a bargain
*
He has only a year left on his deal, didnt start the first game of the season, they already signed his replacement, so its defo not a bargain but that doesnt mean he cant be a good player for us.

Later Casemiro scam us just for salary increase tactic at Real Madrid. Confirm kena troll kaw2
*
Who cares? The guy is a hard man, so he will defo bring some fight into our midfield, he could be past it if not now, maybe in a year or two but we cleared so much wages and we havent really bought anyone this season, i rather the club waste money on players rather than having more money to show on the books then the glazers eat their dividens etc.

Spanish team might be a pain in the ass but the rest seem ok, even if Sheriff did have a shock result against Real Madrid in the UCL.

QUOTE(statikinetic @ Aug 26 2022, 07:32 PM)
So let's talk about the next match against Southampton.

Forget about the Liverpool result. That is not the way we usually play. If we do a counter attacking setup against the Saints, I suspect they'd be happy to sit back and take a point. So it will be a test case if the team has learnt to play possession football after the disasters against Brighton and Brentford. And if Casemiro can help the midfield settle.

I would like to think Varane-Martinez starts and we hold a high defensive line to create a pressure press. If Maguire starts, then to cover the lack of pace our defence will probably settle into a low block. Unless, ETH deploys a back 3. But United have never played with a back 3 so I don't know what a Varane-Maguire-Martinez formation would do.

I am looking forward to two things. Our formation for possession play. And if Casemiro plays, how we plays in ETH's formation.
*
If in our build up, it is still Eriksen that drops deepest to pick up the ball instead of Casemiro, then we really need FDJ larh.

Look at the prices for Darwin Nunez, another who?.jpeg kinda guy. Saving a few million is really hard these days. Pay up or shut up. The only way I can see is being lucky with connections (Haaland and Mbappe) and stature. Otherwise it still makes sense to establish your academy and get your talent in early.

Haland was cheap because of buy out clause AND he has a relatively low buy out clause at City as well. He wont be always at City, i expect him to be in Spain in a few years.
