The picture show the fiber box, you can see the fiber core in blue already expose and a few fracture along the line.
I was thinking of using a water proof duct tape to wrap the line.
Can you suggest any other way?

This is an indoor fiber cord which shouldn't be used outdoor. Many TM contractors did that but it wouldn't survive after a few years.
They cannot withstand high heat / UV. You can try to save it with some black electrical tape but do not ever bend it |

QUOTE(gedebe @ Aug 9 2022, 10:45 PM) after it become brittle, i am forced to rearrange the line due to a fiber line repair, line got eaten by rat, the brittle part worsen should be a good time for a new fiber cable and please redo that external box and pvc pipes to be more professional. This post has been edited by metalfire: Aug 9 2022, 11:53 PM |

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Aug 9 2022, 11:38 PM) This is an indoor fiber cord which shouldn't be used outdoor. Many TM contractors did that but it wouldn't survive after a few years. My house is on the black color one and fortunately the installer did it with a pipe like coating for the entire outdoor coverage, only when reaching the BTU the pipe like plastic coating was removed and can see like 2 thin wires combined to oneThey cannot withstand high heat / UV. You can try to save it with some black electrical tape but do not ever bend it But it connects directly from the box on the telephone post directly to my BTU Hopefully that can withstand high heat / UV from sunlight |
