Ppl always assume property price always up. Problem is you are borrowed from bank. Idea is like bank short selling to you a mark up loan product which has a whooping 220% mark up price (assuming obr rate 4% over 30 years).

So into making up the 4% per annum loss u incurred, you have to make sure your property rose 40% in next 10 years. But bear in mind, opr rate also rise when housing price index rise. In the end, profit not much. Don't forget the stamp duty fee and s&p legal fee.

Hence I rather forget the hassle, and invest in Singapore REIT. wink.gif

Actually the best is REITS in Sg.
Claw back.
Buy palace type in small towns.

You have a choice also in rain forest, Yatch marina, lake side , Highlands bungalows.

Like how the British officers lived.

Build like Kellie castle.

That is worth it.
