does anyone here use the new type of charge cable that comes with a LED display at one end of the cable that shows you the wattage that's going thru the cable?

If you have, what's the wattage you are getting from the cable? And what type of charger you are using?

There's a video that shows a person charging the phone with one such cable from Baseus (mine's from Baseus and also USAMS) where he managed to get up to 38W for a 40W charge cable. Am I allowed to share a YT video link here? If yes, I can post the link to that video.

Mine's 66W charge cable, but I only managed to get 7-8W (average) or 9-10W (max I've seen). It's a Baseus 66W cable, on a Baseus GAN3 66W charger, charging my P20 Pro. The phone is in Super Charging mode so I can't say the cable is not "working".

Tapi that fella can get to his cable's max wattage!! LOL

66W charging was not available when P20 Pro launched. P20 Pro macam support up to 22.5w (5Vx4.5A) charging and it not being a standard like Qualcomm Quick Charge, not sure how much mileage you can get with a third party charger.

Max charging only happens for short time.
Usually at begining of charge when the battery is cool.
As soon as the bat heat up it will go back slow charging

Those advertising 200w charging only for 1 minute

Ah good info, bro. This explains why plugging into P20 won't get the wattage to go above 22W. If P20 supports up to 5V only then the max I can get out of the charger (regardless of cable speed) would still be 15W (as the charger's rating is 5V/3A). So I suppose getting 8-9W is in the ballpark.

These (newer) chargers do support Huawei's Super Charging mode though but need one that's rated above 22.5W (as per your info).

I've a UGreen 36W Dual-port charger so it means max 18W per port.. that charger only gets me to Fast Charging on my P20 Pro.

But this Baseus 66W GAN charger (even tho the USB-C port can go max 65W it also depends on the max input from the device), I can actually get Super Charging on the P20 Pro (using the same cable as above for UGreen).

The USB-C port's 65W rating (or even 45W rating if using more than one port at the same time) is still enough to charge my SP6 so having this 3rd Party charger means I need not carry too many PSU or chargers around when on the move.
