If you look at India movies that relies heavily on VFX, they are already on par with Hollywood standards. China also same. I can't say the same about story telling though. So far the 2 biggest movies is centered around earth and space. Remember Wandering Earth? Now this. And most of the other stuff are centered around the 3 kingdoms or Journey to the West lore. The only country good at story telling now is Korea.
