I've used Primacy 3ST and now 4ST. The 4 is a downgrade in term of hydroplane, so I'm looking to move away from this model. I understand there aren't many choices when it comes into this size.. and my priority is good aquaplane resistance. Please recommend me some.

P.S. i have the 4ST in 215/45R17 on another car and at this size the aquaplane seems decent.

Hey, I had a quick look at your size 235/55R17 and I only found Primacy 4st & UC6. Based on the comparison on primacy 4 vs 3 here you should be much better in aquaplaning with the 4. Did you have any bad experience with it?

We know Primacy 4 is an absolute monster when it comes to wet braking. A good wet braking compound actually helps to dissipate water much quicker. You can check Primacy 4's comparison test here and it is actually good in aquaplaning in comparison with the competitor.

My recommendation would be to stick with your primacy 4st as it is the best the industry can offer. Hope this helps.

As I have mentioned the Primacy 4 at this size (which I'm using now) has below average aquaplaning. My other set in 215/45r17 size seems fine though.

i hope to hear real world experience from owners for other tayars at this size (235/55r17).

How you define as old stock? new tire can last 5~10 years without issue bro if kept in good condition.. icon_idea.gif
Some owners even want to get those tire after 1~2 years from manufacturing date due to less issue compare to fresh tire..

BTW, most tire listed is available in Malaysia.
