How does "tyre warranty" works anyone can explain?
Say like manufacturer gives 5 year warranty but is it counted from manufacture date or purchase date?
For eg like TS is asking year 2020 tyre so the warranty is until 2025 or until 2027?

a. Tyres sold within 3 years of the manufacturing date
Where the tyres are sold within 3 years of the manufacturing date, the warranty shall be for the life of the original usable tread pattern or 6 years from the date of purchase, whichever comes first
b. Tyres sold 3 years after the manufacturing date
Where the tyres are sold 3 years after the manufacturing date, the warranty shall be for the life of the original usable tread pattern or 6 years from the date of manufacture, whichever comes first.
BTW most tire warranty are rubbish, if your accidently hit sharp objects that cause the burst or budge at the sidewall area usually warranty void, if found air-pressure under or over flatted also void, if kena paku or sharp objects on the side wall also gg, use wrong type of tire patch also warranty gg (Only can use internal patch). Unless your tire is super expensive rare size, most tire claim are rubbish and tire shop owner will claim for you under their own pocket money.
