hello there, I am a resident of PJ and here are my experience of renewal of NRIC and Passport

NRIC - 1 hour +/- in UTC Datuk Keramat KL (beside LRT station) on a Sunday morning
- fees = RM10

Passport - 1 hour +/- in Imigresen Kelana Jaya on weekdays (appointment based MCO period)
- fees = RM200 for 5 years renewal, no other options

Please take note of the followings
- payment mode: cashless (credit card/debit card)
- wear dark collared shirt

No need appointment, but you have to make an online application n payment, then you get an email telling you the date to pick up your passport at immigration office.

If your online photo is problem, you wont get the email then you go to immigration to take photo at one of the shops there n try to get number if can, can still pick up the passport on same day.

OP do online. Walk-ins they will reject sometimes depending on location or u meet an asshole officer. Better to be safe than wait whole day

Three days if there's no on toward issue like photo or finger print. If I were you I better go take a studio photo. Do online. Make payment wait for a week. If no reply. Take receipt. Go there. Show them receipt.

Kv no walk in for passport.

All other states can.

Ic can walk in anywhere. Very fast. About 45 minutes can get it done if just replacement.

Lost ic need police report and waiting time for their pengarah to ok u.

If online lulus and you got receipt. Wait for their notification. Or go straight there ambik any issues they sure help you.

Please remember to bring old passport. Don't be like my friend. Wait whole day. When it's his turn. No old passport. Kena reject lol

Either that (wrong email), or they haven't processed the results - it's not instant - based on the posts here (this thread) the results of application ["myONLINE PASPORT - Keputusan Permohonan Pasport"] varies for everyone. I got it within the same day, but around 6-7hours after complete the registration & payment Also just in case - check your spam/junk category, maybe termasuk there 
I do not have the correct answer, but what I would do is go JPN to check my nric - fix what needs fixing - then head on to immigration with the fixed nric. If JPN say the NRIC is fine, the bangsa is correct (no errors) - then ask for a letter or some form of confirmation from them which you can show to the immigration to fix your passport. I'd supposed if you are in KL, the best place to kill 2 birds in 1 place is Duta JPN - can fix the nric and immi is there too - good luck

Check this, still can walk in after 3-4 days to get it.

Both me and wife also same same "Untuk makluman, permohonan pasport melalui myONLINE PASPORT di aplikasi web dengan no borang EP3------- telah TANGGUH/SIASATAN kerana FOTO TIDAK MEMUASKAN DAN CAP JARI TIDAK SAH"

We have just made an appointment to IMMI to do both CapJari and Foto there. Much easier this way.

Just asking , how long does it takes for your status to be updated after reuploading the picture? Because I reuploaded mine and when I checked the status, it still asked me to upload a new photo swt.
