I've been to that place to renew my family members' passports. Make appointment, walk in. Fill up form, take photo. Wait 1 hour. Passport ready.

Not sure what's the latest procedure..

no need copy of IC

print out your receipt. The receipt actually told you what to bring.

Oh.. means have to renew online then print receipt.

What about senior citizens? Can walk in? If not, need to bring them go take photo first.

I'm looking for places that can accept walk in. Some places are open on Sundays. Very convenient.

oh i thought you have done online previously... not sure bout walk in as some say can some say cannot... i myself did online failed photo and thumbprint so straight walk in the same day after received the email. Took less than 1.5hours

for senior citizen just walk in.

Oh I wanted to avoid to do it online. Reading so much about failed photo, etc. Haha. Anyway. Thanks. 👍

Just wanna share my experience from 2 weeks ago.

Did the online application, uploaded the photo and made payment.

Went to Immigration office after 5 working days (because wasn't free) even though there is no email from them.

Once my number was called, they said got problem with my photo. Officer said this is common as when we upload the photo, the website will compress the photo thus making it look blurred/squished. Re-took the photo at the counter.

At the same time, had issue with my thumb print so had to go down to NRD to get letter of verification (took about 1 hour). Once have that letter, submit to the Passport officer. Passport was ready in 45 minutes.

All in all, took me about 2+ hours from start to finish.

if failed nvm, they will send you an email to ask u go snap at there premise.
what good about it is you still consider online applicant, so no need q at walk-in (which means you no need go early). Remember to print the email or show them in your phone will do.

I just help my sibling last month only, failed twice then they will send an email to ask you go to the branch. Go there q at the online/OKU/senior citizen there, wait for your turn and snap your photo.

I think it take about an hour or less for her.

My experience at UTC Pudu 2 weeks ago.

I went there with my children to renew and apply for passport. So I got the short queue. At about 7.45am, an officer came out and this is basically what he said.

- Only 100 numbers for walk in
- If you applied online, for thumbprint error, there is a queue for it (about about 50 people)
- If you applied online, for photo problem, GO BACK TO THE PHOTOSHOP AND TAKE AGAIN UNTIL PUTRAJAYA IS SATISFIED. This is the one thing that caught a lot of people by surprise.
- If you are senior citizen and applied passport online, queue at the Online queue. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO QUEUE AT THE SENIOR CITIZEN QUEUE.

It was a Saturday so I'm not too sure if it's the same if it's on a weekday.

Edit: A few more things.
- Make sure your MyKad is the new one with two photos. They don't accept the older ones with only 1 photo
- If you kid has problems taking photos at the booth, better to go to a photoshop and take the photo first, then save it in your phone. They will ask you to open the photo on your phone and take the photo using their camera at the booth.
- No cash. I saw a few people kena from this. Had to borrow money there and then.

btw i went putrajaya imi on a wed arrive in que at 6.20am and there is 3 ppl in front of me

if apply new passport also can get within 45 mins here veli fast if u are there earliest

Putrajaya too far for me will try to do online method instead

phailed photo coz cheapskate to take pro photo. if done that early, the application is quickly processed and approved.
