Hi everyone, I am having issues with acne on my body and it gets worst to a point that my tshirt have blood stains when I go to bed. Its on my upper arms, collar bone area and at the back as well. I went to Dr.Ko but the medication given is not working. Some of the pimples are really painful at times. What can I do with this issue?

Hormonal Causes of Body Acne
One of the main causes of body acne is the change and fluctuation in hormone levels. Androgens, such as testosterone, cause an increase in sebum production, cell activity, and bacteria resulting in acne. Testosterone is more prevalent during puberty when sebum levels spike, increasing skin oiliness. For women, hormonal changes relating to pregnancy and the menstrual cycle also play a role in acne formation. Additionally, the decrease in estrogen levels around menopause can also cause acne.

Do checkout with a dermatologist. If its severe body acne then probably Accutane is the way to go.

For some its late as well, my hubby got breakout in his late 20s (29-32), and finally after coupe of medications, finally he went on Accutane for close to a year, I think (sorry dah lama, lupa pulak), and finally got it suppressed.

What medication did the Dr gave, initially they would start with antibiotic, but if its severe, antibiotic is not gonna suppress the acne, only cures the bacteria infection.
