I start to see this "terrace in the sky" concept popping up in some condo projects, where your car parks are in the same level as your condo unit, so you don't have to take the lift at all unless you want to go to other floors, e.g. when the facilities or mailboxes are in other floors.
I wonder if anyone has experience staying in a unit like this? Is there any pros and cons that people might not notice? Because on paper it sounds like a good concept, maybe the con is like, it's usually low floors? Will the lobby or corridor smell like car park? Noise from the parking? Would appreciate if you could share your experience, thanks!

QUOTE(virtualoriginal @ Jul 28 2022, 10:26 PM) 30th floor drive up and down half tank gone ady? HAHA Of course the parking won't be 30th floor, the projects I've seen usually provide limited number of units at the car park floors, below 10th floors with speed ramps.

Personally, I would like to park my car at lower floors... rather take some extra steps to the lift then going through all the floors/speedbumps.

It should be like there are lower units right next to the carpark area. So you walk right straight to your house from the lift area. The ones I saw with this concept were for a few MS projects.

I feel that the Idea is good, but the development really needs to be done beside a hill or something. So that you can have 2 access either from top/mid level or from ground.
You dont expect a 10th floor resident to drive up 10 levels everyday.
At least you need an access from G and 5th level.
In the long run, your wear n tear for you lift also is less.
