Hi all, would like to ask how difficult is it to get into Accenture Management Consulting entry level role? Considering a lateral move from financial advisory (< 1 year exp) to management consulting.

Don't ask, just try. At least, when you send in your application, got chance for interview. No send, not even chance for interview

Depends on your experience, what you have done and your achievements you have put in your resume. The next hurdle is through a series of interviews which are based on your past experiences, whether in your short working experience and university experience. Also, difficulty depends on the number of available projects that the company has and available positions as well. If there are a lot of candidates applying, then of course difficulty gets harder. I went through this but joined only after working 2 years before joining in fresh as an analyst.

During my time there, fantastic, great work culture, team work (not just locally but globally as well). Definitely a work hard play hard environment.

For MC it depends whether you got a local or foreign boss as you will be supporting / handling clients from outside Malaysia as well. Most consulting dept will have bit of toxicity depending on team but its definitely good exposure. You are not there to work 9-5 anyway.

Really thanks for the insights and experience sharing! Though my application for MC was not proceed, I am being considered under consulting analyst program, done first round and was told to have closing interview soon.

Would like to ask how will the closing interview generally be? Would it be very different compared to the first round?

It will be dependent on the interviewer, it is quite different between each interviewer on how they want to conduct it.
