I don't calculate but with solar panel output and batteries degradation, at current cost I'd say not worth it.

Yes, put money in EPF probably generate enough to cover the bill  laugh.gif

If no batteries, how to get power at night? During day, where to channel excess power if not storage. Panel output is DC anyway and output is not constant. The AC is generates using inverter from DC.

The amount of random logic and unsubstantiated idea flying around about Solar/NEM is probably why there is such low take up rate....

90% of the ppl talkign here pull ideas out of their butt...

As mentioned it is only for 10 years, right? After that?

The ROI is about 5.5 to 6.5 yrs.

Anything above that is bonus.

After NEM contract expires, my take it, sign again on whatever NEM version by then. Currently its NEM 3.0, govt will keep re-introducing it cause this helps with their capacity. Otherwise TNB need to invest huge capex to upgrade cap, which we all know Msia wont do.

is the solar inverter noisy?
*
There is a very low hum, if you put your face next to it, i have it in my storeroom, hence zero noise.

U installed brapa kw? Nem 1 or 2 or 3?

I'm on nem 2.

On side note, the ppl pulling information through the sky and ass is alot in here.

The last I know is u don't need 50k for residential solar installation. Seda only allows a max 12kw installation under nem 3.
50k with micro inverter should be able to get your around 15kw -17kw which seda doesn't allow for residential.

I'm on 9kw around $35k or something like that, cant remeber the specifics. Just know the ROI is about 6yrs.
