Seems like the general consensus is to upgrade to at least a mid-range like Dunlop.

But as @naazizmy mentioned, the China tyre that was recommended to me, wheel pattern looks almost identical to Yokohama C Drive 2. So what's unknown is only the rubber quality. I also enquired a few more online sellers but their perception towards China tyres are not as negative as compared to forums, maybe they have certain biases trying to sell the product.

I also saw some offers on Dunlop J5 that are quite cheap, but it's old stock back from 2018. Are there any demerits in buying older tyres? i.e. rubber hardening, etc.

Also, are online tyres that much cheaper than buying it directly from workshop? Or it's almost the same? One thing for sure is that if purchased online, you are pretty certain that you'll get the product you want, but if you go direct to tyre shops, the brands you want might be out of stock, and you might give in to sales talk to opt for another brand.
