hi all, lately ever since MCO ended, seem like klang valley traffic jam got so much worse, so i'm planning to just get a tiny motorbike for going to work. i have not rode a bike for 5 years now. need advise on which motorbike to get:
small and easy to pusing pusing budget: for petrol type, below 4k. for electric, below 7k last criteria: unique looks. i dont mind ugly. please suggest. even more ugly better, nobody bother stealing.
i really loved that honda s-07 look. but too bad it can only go 25kmh??? anyone used this on the road, can share experience? thanks.

Aveta ranger 110. If you lucky you can get one under 3k under clearance prices.
Horrible brakes (front drum brakes), underpowered, but about the cheapest you can get a pair of motorized wheels that can do 90 to 100.
Looks quite nice too...twin spar steel frame looks stronger than your typical underbone kapchai. 2 pc seat so you can remove the pillion seat and mount a box/rack closer and directly to the rear subframe for better weight distribution. Kind of a poor man's budget Huntercub125.
A friend of mine has one kitted out with knobbies and racks Goes up trails that would make our bigger heavier bikes sweat.

for that budget and requirement would suggest a used, small scooter like yamaha ego or honda beAT/vario. use it for a year or two to see if it fits your usage. forget unique bike that are less on the road as you will have a lot of hard time trying to maintain it. QUOTE(sCid00 @ Jul 19 2022, 11:20 AM) lately many fatal accidents involved motor cyclist...still want to get motor cycle ? Many times, those are ridden by idiots that disregard simple traffic rules and don't ride with their brain engaged. And, they deserve it. Only a small percentage don't really deserve what fate brought to them.

QUOTE(Noryume @ Jul 19 2022, 12:38 PM) Want cheap go for modenas. Cheap price easy maintenance. Yup. I agree too. Better than buying the less known brands. No way that TS can afford the Japanese brands with that sort of budget. Modenas is the best bet or second-hand Japanese

Aveta Ranger or Modenas Ct115s. Skip the Chinese Kriss, its a royal pile of dogshit. CT115 is essentially a Kawasaki Kaze, Aveta Ranger is good if you're willing to mish mash with Honda parts and can double as a small ADV bike. Maintenance cost is low whichever way you choose
Or you can topup for a Lagenda or Wave.
Second hand market yields more options depending on how flexible your budget is.
