What is the difference between the packet subsidised cooking oil, and others such as Naturel? I've been using Naturel blended oil for a long time but now 3kg is rm42! One year ago was rm28.

The subsidised packet cooking oil so much cheaper.

What is the difference? Any issue if downgrade tk the cheapest oils?

It’s lasted from last year September, will finish next month. In between I still use olive oil for eggs, fish and pasta. And some ghee for certain veggies. Some butter for pasta too.

I’m just asking what’s the difference. I’m not complaining about the price hike, per se, in this thread.

Some said those packet oils actually recycled oils they repackaged again and sell them. Usually hawkers and stall owners use them to fry kuih and snacks because they're super cheap.

Imo if you're not health conscious type of person, just get brands like Eagle,Seri Murni or Saji to fry chicken, fish or kuih at home. For sauté dishes or stir fry/goreng2 mee nasi just use regular vegetable oils. Olive oil I reserved for baking chicken and making pasta sauce.

I once put a bottle of fried onion oil, using Naturel Oil and some other oils. Natural Sunflower oil it seems will stay as liquid in fridge, other oils will turn into white solid if store in fridge. Why?

packet oil is of lowest quality oil .

stick to Naturel blended sunflower/canola . healthier oil.
reduce your intake of palm oil . as they have more saturated fat .

1kg packet subsidised cooking oil RM2.50, the gov paid some RM to the factory
same as 1kg packet subsidised tepung gandum.

1kg, 2, 5kg bottle cooking oil no subsidised, price follow market price

The quality ?
Most repacking minyak sawit packet or bottle is CP8

Big brand like alif got CP6 logo with vitamin D3 added
FGV saji dont have logo CP
cap lesong using IV60 instead of CP6

correct me if I am wrong

CP4 (Super Palm Olein) - IV62
CP6 (Super Palm Olein) - IV60
CP8(Nominal Quality) - IV58
CP10 (Fair Average) - IV56

cp6
RBD Palm Olein CP6 is also known as Super Olein. Super Olein CP6 is a Softer type of Olein which is obtained by the Fractionation of Standard Olein. In this process, we achieve the maximum possible fluidity. RBD Palm Oil CP6 is mainly used for bottling.

cp8
RBD Palm Olein CP8 is an Extremely Stable and Cost Effective Deep-Frying Oil that lasts longer in your fryer. RBD Palm Olein CP8 is made from the Finest Quality Palm Olein. RBD Palm Oil CP8 is a Cholesterol Free and contains Healthy levels of Vitamin-E.

cp10
RBD Palm Olein CP10 is Refined with Saturate Protected formula, which helps to reduce oil absorption during Cooking and Frying. RBD Palm Oil CP10 is Tasteless and Odourless formula, which means when you eat, then you taste the food and not the oil.
