A few days ago, my unifi wifi suddenly have very low download speed(around 0.5 mbps based on ookla speed test) but the upload speed is normal (around 50mbps).

I asked tm support and they reset my internet port and it worked for a few hours then it slow again. Unifi technician came and check and said that my router( Tplink ax1500 ) may be broken but it's still new and still under warranty. I've tested on unifi old router but it can't connect to the internet at all.

How do I fix it?

- verify connecting with a cable first and if speed test ok or not.
- verify nobody else using your wifi (in dhcp you can see connected devices)
- r u using unifi lite/unifi 100mbps/what package u using?

- Already testing with cable directly to the router. (Tested using 3 different cable 1 cat5, 1 cat 5e and 1 cat 8 cable.

-Already kick out everyone that is using the wifi and it's still slower than normal. (Besides, normally It's at least 10mbps per device if all devices are connected. And it won't affect ookla speedtest as I test it out when I first bought and setup that router)

-I am using unifi fiber 100 mbps. There wasn't any problem before this, just recently its behaving this way.

PS. I've already tried rebooting, using different cable, and factory reset my router.

Other info that may help is,

-Its affecting every type of device including laptop, MacBook and phones.
-Its affecting both wired and wireless connection.
-Somehow, it's affecting the ping in-game (ROBLOX, LOL and etc).
-Sometime it affects connection to some website but then will be available after a while.

Both image below are from the propeties of the wireless network from windows 10

try to look at your fibre cable.. maybe bended. looks like the most reasonable explanation.

Also, I also tried using other DNS server and disable the previous dns server (Google public dns) I was using.
Its still the same.

I haven't tried using a VPN but it isn't suitable to set it up for every device that is using the wifi.

How to check that? The cable in my house is very long and is in a hard place to reach. Do I need to check close up to see the problem or see if the is a 90° bend only?

Should I find a professional and make them see if cable is a problem?

Also, is this normal? Attached Image

Update: Fixed it. Called another unifi technician.

They fixed it by cleaning the tm port out side my house.
Its just a dirty port.

Its not even part of the house.

Anyway thanks, it's really the cable that is the problem.
