I'm on Digi Prepaid Best (Big Bonus) and I used to be able to hotspot my phone to other devices. But recently I wasn't able to to so. The hotspot can connect to other devices but no internet access. I've tried this with my PC, laptop and Ipad with same result - hotspot connected but no internet access.

I'm using a Redmi 9A. Previously I was using Redmi7A and had no problem with hotspot internet access for connected devices.

Has there been a change in Digi's policy regarding hotspot data for prepaid user?

Looks like it's a device/problem. When I switched the sim back to my old Redmi 7A, the hotspot worked perfectly - with internet access for the tethered devices.

I've just switched to the Prepaid Unlimited RM35 since it appeared in my box of surprises. At least it's stated 3gb Hotspot quota. I wasn't sure of my hotspot limit under my previous plan.

I've tested my Redmi 9A under this new plan. So far no problem with hotspot tethering.

So maybe it wasn't a device problem after all.
