good to know but i wonder why online shop don't have extended warranty
*
Just as extra perk from manufacturer since physical shop has higher cost and need to sell at higher cost. the perk will offset the higher price.

yes physical shop has a overhead cost and of course they need to sell at certain price , well it's good that they give the extended warranty as an attraction for consumers to purchase it via physical shop , make sense nod.gif

Hisense Announces Mini LED 4K U7K Series Smart TVs

https://www.lowyat.net/2023/307719/hisense-...-4k-u7k-series/

As for the prices of the individual TVs, the brand’s official store on Shopee lists the 55-inch Hisense Mini LED 4K U7K as priced at RM6,999. As for the 65- and 75-inch models, these are priced at RM7,999 and RM9,999, respectively. No price is listed for the 85-inch model though, as stocks for that particular model is not available on the e-commerce site.

Guys,, HDMI is missing from GoogleTV home screen especially after booting up the TV. Need to manually select HDMI input from source and only after that HDMI will appear on home screen. I'm using Hisense A6500H GTV.

Is there anyone facing this issue?

Fixed the youtube for you.

Hisense buy from Kedai got extra 1 year warranty.

Thanks.
Still waiting for Hisense to contact me. They already take the tv. The technician told me that maybe I will get a replacement unit since no spare part in stock to repair the tv.

Same like my case - My old A6500F (AndroidTV) also buat hal after nearly 2 years..lucky i buy in-store, get 2+1 year warranty from Hisense.. But mine due to faulty LCD panel (got 1 small, thin line , near the top of panel).

They say no parts anymore as mine was older 2020 model, so they replace with new TV (GoogleTV, 2022 model)..

Is RM 2900 worth it for last year's U7H (65 inch).
It is Vidaa right? If I get a Xiaomi TV Stick, can I still get the dolby vision etc?

If that's your budget and you're aiming for a 65" TV with FALD with Quantum Dot Color and Dolby Vision, then it's a great buy. Dolby Vision works but the apps in VIDAA perform better. So use the Netflix, Prime Video and Apple TV+ app for the best Dolby Vision picture quality. For any streaming apps from an Android dongle, you may see some posterization on DV content. Can't be helped. This is true if you use the same dongle and play DV content on Sony X90J; Enhanced HDMI must be turned on before you'll see this posterization effect.

Hmm, what's posterization?

I'm not too sure about getting a better 65 inch or a slightly lower spec 75 inch...

Hi. Need to ask if 55" U7H is better buy than highest tiered and similar priced 55" UHD TV from LG or Samsung.

In terms of picture quality.

I am aware 60Hz vs 120Hz. Maybe not as important for normal consumption i.e Netflix, PC.

Based on my personal experience with U7H from store demo, and Sony 80K from my sister house, I can say that U7H picture is better quality, deeper black, more vibrant color(this maybe due to demo's video).

Demo videos are video files that are already inside the TV. Usually the TVs are put on Store Mode so that when idle, it'll automatically play the video. This mode also use Dynamic as its video setting. So I wouldn't trust what you see unless you brought your own video files or streaming stick and played around with the TV for at least 15 minutes, while using the right video settings.

Posterization looks like this.

You'll only see them on the U7H if you use a streaming stick and playing CERTAIN Dolby Vision content, either streaming or from your NAS. I've streamed S1E1 of Ted Lasso (watch for the overhead cabin in the airplane in the first 5 minutes) using the Apple TV app on my Tivo Stream 4K on a Sony X90J and it exhibits that. I use Firestick 4K Max with my U7H.

Like I said before, since VIDAA has Netflix, Prime Video and Apple TV+ Lite, I only have to use Disney+ Hotstar on the Firestick. Just have to grit through the posterized scenes.

You won't know what you're missing until you start to compare. So whichever you choose is fine as long as you don't compare after you've bought a TV.

They replace my broken u7g with u6k. They said its a newer model. Don't have time to test yet but is this model as good as my previous u7g tv?

From my untrained eyes, the tv image is same. The only difference is that the u7g have 4 hdmi port, but u6k only 3 hdmi ports. And also some setting is different.

So they replaced it with a brand new mini led tv? Wow... lucky leh

My bad... it seems like U6K not mini led... U7K baru mini led.

Update:
Strange that most of the Google result shown U6K as mini led tv but hisense my didnt show any such info. Saw a youtube video differentiate U6K (200+ zones), U7K (500+ zones) and U8K (1000+ zones). Is MY U6K different to US model again? Oh... found a different... check if your u6k has 4k120hz. It seems like U6K dont support 4k120hz. U7G has 4k120hz support iirc.

Malaysia u7g also don't have 4k120hz, only 60hz. Malaysia hisense tv is different compare to the US version.
For malaysia version, i think u7h, u7k, u900kf have the 4k120hz.
