QUOTE(clovercliff @ Jul 11 2022, 09:54 PM) After using my Mini-LED MBP, I get impress with the HDR content but at the same time dun want to have OLED because of burn in issue There's the Asus PA32UCX, but it won't be cheap (RM8999) is there any nice mini-LED monitor recommended that come with USB-C Port? If you don't mind going ultrawide there's the Alienware AW3423DW, but those are gaming monitors and might not be ideal for your use case Another option is the upcoming Cooler Master GP27-FQS, but that's also a gaming monitor so might not be suitable (there's also the issue whether the dimming algorithm is good enough to produce HDR visuals well) This post has been edited by chocobo7779: Jul 12 2022, 12:37 AM |

With the exception of very rare monitors that take ThunderBolt connection.... all other monitors with usb-c input actually handles DP-out through the usb-c port (you just need a cheap RM30 usb-c to DP converter, and use the monitor's DP input)... your usb-c port will need to support DP-out Flat option: This post has been edited by BeastX: Jul 12 2022, 01:59 PM |

the purpose I'm looking for USB-C is it can charge my mb, without needed to have 2 cable connected.
Currently using Samsung M7/32inch cheap and good, just it doesn't have HDR display that required min-led |

QUOTE(clovercliff @ Jul 12 2022, 07:33 PM) the purpose I'm looking for USB-C is it can charge my mb, without needed to have 2 cable connected. https://www.lazada.com.my/products/usb-c-hu...BSABEgJyRfD_BwECurrently using Samsung M7/32inch cheap and good, just it doesn't have HDR display that required min-led Here.... You gain one yourself one usb2.0 port and only utilise only one usb-c port.... for power and display. You open your market to all monitors with mini-led... Instead of something that may not exist yet/inferior but comes with a built-in usb-c hub... There are plenty of HDR monitors that reach 1k nits (meaningful HDR but without mini-led) these are RM 3 to 4k... Mini-led monitors however, you'll pay twice more: 8k to 10k... Since cost apparently is not an issue... get a full TB dock at RM500 to 1k (instead of a cheap RM30 dock)... for a 1 wire to your laptop... Just posted a query on the Titan Army 27A6MR in a new thread.
1440p/2k resolution @ 27 inch & 384 dimming zones Seems to be the cheapest Mini-LED monitor around. No USB ports at all though. Also can't find much info or reviews.. |
