goodyear assurance triplemax 2 sudah phased out kah?
wanted to look for it but cant find it..

Seems now for goodyear 195/55/R15 there's duraplus 2 and new one called maxguard that replaces TM2?

So which better between duraplus 2 and maxguard? Any one using either of these 2 share your reviews..

From what i gather:
last time triplemax 2 pros = good dry & wet grip, good comfort, quiet-ish tyres.. cons = not so lasting

Seems now from promotional materials:
duraplus 2 = long lasting + quiet
maxguard = durability + wet grip

I want good grip + good comfort/low noise.. Which the TM2 seems to fit perfectly (idc about lasting cause this is for low mileage car anyway)
Anyone used/knows if the Maxguard which replaces the TM2 is also a quiet-ish tyre? Trying to find more details about this maxguard but their promotional materials never mention anything about being quiet or low noise..

From their chart of TM2 vs Maxguard:
-seems like noise level is relatively the same
-treadwear + wet braking/handling improved a lot
-but dry grip/braking reduced a bit?

how's your review of this place. You change tyres and do alignment here also? Or just buy tyres and install somewhere else? Faced any problems before?

Cause their google reviews quite scary. Take long time few hours to change tyres is one thing and can close an eye due to their price. But it seems they always use scam tactic towards customers as well? Say rim bengkok, lower arm not good, camber out, etc etc etc..

What i worried is they purposely bengkok your rim when removing/installing the tyres.. Or maybe not on purpose but cause they employ bangla workers, so maybe its just poor workmanship.. Then end up buy cheap tyres yes but have to fork out for other stuffs due to "damages".. That one not worth the headache.

anyway i enquired for185/55R15 Goodyear Maxguard. Shopee selling 220. if use vouchers can go down to 187. They selling 159 only wtf.. rclxub.gif

The price really tempting but damn the reviews are scary

my review, it is the cheapest tyre shop in KL & Selangor, shopee included, especially for my size, 235/45/18 for Michelin. My take, whatapps for their price quotation for size, brand, then once get it, go there as early as I can. Come there, show the WhatsApp price then proceed installation. Bought 4 sure free alignment, balancing, and sometime they will say as per u mentioned, but I ignored, same goes to camber screw. Sure u can look at them when they take your tyre etc during the installation, balancing etc

This is because, after installing the new tyre, I will send it back for alignment/ balancing at my regular tyre shop, if rajin send it  to 1 shop opposite Jusco Balakong for manual alignment, but slightly pricey. Summary, their tyre is cheap by a lot in Oscar vs Kajang tyre shop.

so its true la then.. their tyre is cheap but they will tokok a lot nonsense as well.

so best is to just buy the tyre + balancing... alignment go somewhere else to do. and ignore whatever else they might tokok to you..

Guess I will go here then. Cause RM159 at oscar vs RM187 at shopee (after vouchers). RM28 diff per piece is big diff.

I also cant brain how come they can sell Goodyear Maxguard year 2025 so cheap..

Update: Got my Goodyear Assurance MaxGuard at Oscar.. 159/pc.. Manufacture Feb 2025. So its very new. Good pricing. Did alignment elsewhere. Watched over them like a hawk, they didn't try to upsell me anything cause earlier i was checking my suspension parts and break pads on my own after they removed the tyres. Also told them how i wanted my tyres to be rotated as well. So maybe I sounded like I know my shit so they didnt bother to try anything funny. The guy ahead of me got the infamous rim bengkok though.. They used machine to "prove" it to the owner, something similar to like the wheel balancing but its done with tyres off the rim.. No idea how true it is cause i never encountered that before. Was my first time seeing they using machine to detect rim bengkok..

Anyway onto the Goodyear AMG, pretty decent so far. Treadwear also a respectable 380, a major leap compared to Goodyear ATM2 with its pathetic 320 treadwear.. XM2+ is 420, even the Toyo CR1 is 360 only. So this Goodyear AMG should be able to last slightly longer than CR1. Overall quite satisfied for the price paid, seems like quite good value.
Other info on AMG: - made in indonesia, i thought it would be local. Supposedly have 5 years warranty but buy at Oscar they didnt give the Goodyear AWF warranty card. So only got shop warranty from Oscar.

Also this chart of ATM2 vs AMG, i can say its rather accurate so far..

surveyed, price is similar as before raid.. plus minus 1~3 ringgit per tyre..

anyway because of the raid thought they gone dy, so i bought on shopee instead, manage to get cheaper after vouchers + can do 3 months 0% installment or pay with CC unlike cash only for oscar..

but the shop pattern is similar like oscar based on google reviews..

Oscar GY AMG = RM163 before raid, RM162 now.=
Shopee seller = RM200, after vouchers became RM160
