Base on its broacher, there is a chart that indicate the wet/dry braking performance improved over the old UC6 SUV tires.
The traction is for wet braking performance, for grade A i believe majority of normal SUV drivers on the roads are sufficient.

Note with thanks. Will wait actual owner review on this tyre then.

how's your review of this place. You change tyres and do alignment here also? Or just buy tyres and install somewhere else? Faced any problems before?

Cause their google reviews quite scary. Take long time few hours to change tyres is one thing and can close an eye due to their price. But it seems they always use scam tactic towards customers as well? Say rim bengkok, lower arm not good, camber out, etc etc etc..

What i worried is they purposely bengkok your rim when removing/installing the tyres.. Or maybe not on purpose but cause they employ bangla workers, so maybe its just poor workmanship.. Then end up buy cheap tyres yes but have to fork out for other stuffs due to "damages".. That one not worth the headache.

anyway i enquired for185/55R15 Goodyear Maxguard. Shopee selling 220. if use vouchers can go down to 187. They selling 159 only wtf..  rclxub.gif

The price really tempting but damn the reviews are scary
*
my review, it is the cheapest tyre shop in KL & Selangor, shopee included, especially for my size, 235/45/18 for Michelin. My take, whatapps for their price quotation for size, brand, then once get it, go there as early as I can. Come there, show the WhatsApp price then proceed installation. Bought 4 sure free alignment, balancing, and sometime they will say as per u mentioned, but I ignored, same goes to camber screw. Sure u can look at them when they take your tyre etc during the installation, balancing etc

This is because, after installing the new tyre, I will send it back for alignment/ balancing at my regular tyre shop, if rajin send it to 1 shop opposite Jusco Balakong for manual alignment, but slightly pricey. Summary, their tyre is cheap by a lot in Oscar vs Kajang tyre shop.

so its true la then.. their tyre is cheap but they will tokok a lot nonsense as well.

so best is to just buy the tyre + balancing... alignment go somewhere else to do. and ignore whatever else they might tokok to you..

Guess I will go here then. Cause RM159 at oscar vs RM187 at shopee. RM28 diff per piece is big diff.

I also cant brain how come they can sell Goodyear Maxguard year 2025 so cheap..
*
2018 last time during GST free months, PS4 at Kajang cost rm800 (they said retail price is 870), but I ended up with Oscar for rm550/tyres. That already enough to cover my toll and fuel. And I do check the manufacturing date, it is a brand new tyres.
Their game is by buying in bulk, big volumes, which can give an attractive price to us, customers.

Hi,

got any advice which tyre that are good in
1. Comfort
2. Quiet
3. Grip

long lasting is not important cos it will be low mileage car
Size is 215/60/16
Current tyres is Michellin XM2 & Primacy 3st going 9 and 10 years tyres. Still got at least 40~50% but don't dare use it any longer.

prefer cheaper tires with priority above so can change in 6~7 year mark
*
since u got good feedback and usage from the Michelin, best to repeat that brand. Wet grip is missing from any Continental tyres, based on my own experience. Those great Continental models (SportContact 7) from abroad are not coming here, but we use the SEA-made model tyre from Continental, hence the poor wet traction.

Almost to the thread depth (~2mm-3mm).
Looking for a good safety tyre.
Must be excellent in Wet condition, as we are having frequent rain here.
Don't care about longevity or noise.
Size 225/50/R17
Does the traction rating an "A" consider Excellent?
*
There is one class above Traction A, namely AA. Not sure how much different AA vs A.

For wet, Michelin no doubt

Any tyre recommendations on an excellent Wet condition with traction "AA".
Can't seems to find on our Michelin tyre website.

From this forum, I know that the new Primacy 5 is out. What is the traction? "A"?
Anyone using this Primacy 5 yet?
*
I had good experiences with Michelin PS4 which had traction AA, can refer to this link for pictures

Usually UHP tires would have softer tire compound for more grip. Their sidewalls are generally stiffer than touring tires.

My guess, MC7 will provide the best grip compared to VP4 & Primacy 5.

However, it could be noisier & wear out faster.

In terms of aquaplaning resistance, Primacy 5 would be the best.
*
This, UHP gives better grip (its main priority), lower Treadware because it gives more grip hence use a softer compound. compared to ECO tyres, which give lesser priority for Grip, hence a harder compound. The mid-range is between.

To me, I'm already fed up with Continental tyres in general cz their weakness in Wet traction. Bought a car that comes with UC6, one of the worst tyres on wet in my experience, pros are it's quiet and ok for dry, but comes rain, its struggling. Read many user for MC6, similar feedback, better than UC6 obviously but rain, its struggle also, far off from its benchmark, the Michelin PS series.

Then the price. MC7, iinm losses to PS5 prices if pandai find at a good tyre shop. Especially the Oscar, iinm PS5 is similar or cheaper a bit vs MC7 from Continental tyre shop.

Trying out this giti sport s2 to replace ps4 which has clocked 51k km. Using 45 series instead of stock 40 series for slight comfort. So fast quiet, have not tried corner or wet braking
*
believe this is Civic FE rim, hence use 235/40/18 as stock, whereas the Accord G9 uses 235/45/18. Previous tyres come with Michelin PS4, later review this model

This giti tyre is good. but dont know why, it is not famous at all here. I want to find replacement for my ps4. had few cycle use ps4.maybe will not go for ps5 as price already inflated kaw kaw. michelin increase any price also still people will buy. but alternative also not much la in uhp category.
*
usually if it's not famous, it comes down to price reason. Unknown, brand new brand, but putting a premium price, people better buy proven, branded Tyres.
If u really want best price, try whatapps for quotation from Oscar Bukit Kemuning, I find their price is the cheapest among KL/ Selangor/ N9, especially 18" size onwards, Michelin brand

Anybody know this happen?

Michelin PS3about 4 years with ~50k mileage.

More serious the the front wheels. There is on the rear as wheel. But very minor.

Issue with the tyre(harden) or something wrong with alignment or car?

user posted image
*
Can Google Michelin tyre chipping, many kene the similar issue. Technically as others mention, due to the model use softer compound for better grip, hence after some mileage, hit with this. But ask many honest tyre shop, they all said no issue for the tyre potential to leak etc cz its only the outer surface chipping.

had that on PS3 and PS4. just push it to more mileage b4 change it

any idea the XM2+ has this issue too?
*
XM2+ Michelin is not a performance tyres, and advertised to last longer than rival tyres, shown that it is an eco tyre. Mean definitely not soft compound rubber and sure no tyre chipping problem

mine never call Oscar, just drop WhatsApp for price quotation, my size. Then they will put the price vs each brand offered. Weekend 830am already at the shop, show message, proceed with installation. Of cz they will inform add-ons like rim bengkok etc, but mine just neglected that.
