is it ok to buy refurbished laptops?

i am planning to buy a side laptop , my core laptop is to put at home and this one is to put at office to use when i am bored ( cant do personal stuff on company pc )

so its not important i get a super powerful expensive one. I will only need it until i resign ,which is probably 1-2 years from now XD

i've seen the prices and its unbelievably cheap , if get longer warranty should be ok right?

for me, refurbished laptops are ok.
but better to buy refurbished laptop of well-known brands,
like Thinkpads as their built quality is good.

also, do survey on how to self-upgrade the refurbished laptop (the internal drive, RAM, battery).
as you don't know how long the component will last after you purchasing it

Depends on luck really. One can never tell how long those repaired mobos can last.

its like buying used car, if got budget better don't I would suggest, save u from some headache

It's okay, but it depend on luck. I've been using a refurbished laptop for a years now, my LCD screen dead after 5 years which is easily replace DIY.

if the refurbished is a 5 year old thinkpad, the answer is yes

Is ok if you get thinkpad. Allot of sparepart in lazada.

I collect a lot of ThinkPad laptops and usually buy broken or problematic units and restore them later. Fun activity.
