Car is Camry ACV40 2011. Orginal rim/tyre was 215 55 17. few years back changed to 18" with the following specs

rim = 8.5x18”
tyre = 225 45 18

after checking https://tiresize.com/comparison/, the circumference and wall were reduced by -1.1% and -14% respectively. From there, it seems 235 45 18 tyre size is closer to the original size except for the width (wall improve from -14% to -10%). I think 235 45 18 can be used and would like to know others' opinion as well

Thanks

Hi there,

I had a quick look on my inch up table here and yes 235/45R18 should fit for your case with a tolerance of -3% +4%.

in the link above, I also describe the pro's and cons on doing so. Hopefully this helps.

Thanks!
